No more haze again

No more haze again            25/6/2013
From the report “Eye-in-sky” patrolling (The Borneo Post.  Home.  24/6/2013 ),  I strongly believe it is possible that there will be no more haze disasters like the ones we experienced in 1997 and now.   Nowadays,  the technology is so advanced that I believe the hot spots can be detected easily.  I wonder why the fires in Sumatra have gone out of bound to the extent that API (air quality index) has reached hazardous levels and cause so many health problems to Malaysians and Singaporeans.
Where is their responsibility as a civilised nation?   What precautions have they done so far during these months of the year?  Do they have “Eye-in-sky” patrolling / a satellite monitoring system to detect the hot spots?
On our part,  our Department  of Environment (DOE) as well as Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) have the facilities “ to pinpoint accurately where and when a fire started”.  Go…………….od……lah!   So, everything is under control in our country.
Thus, we hope our DOE and NREB will put their feet down with a big ‘dumh and pumh’  to be really firm in our stand/stance with the DOE and NREB / the Indonesian government  to tell them clearly what they should do and not do or we will bring the case of haze to the World Court  to be settled there.  There then would be a breach of friendship,  good will and neighbouring relationship,  we have no choice but ignore it.
If our DOE and NREB have been firm with the Indonesian government, we believe the problem of haze would not have persisted until now for 20 years.  Please be responsible and uphold your work ethics or you will face People’s Power.
