Power-crazy Vs Demo-crazy

Power-crazy            Vs      Demo-crazy                                         31st May,2012
Najib barked saying, “……people should not be demo-crazy……”.   (See Hua Daily News) I believe many people like me would advise Najib and his team not to be power-crazy first and be prepared to relinquish the power if he loses in the 13th election.  Don’t ever be obsessive with power and act aggressively if the BN party loses in the general election.  Make sure there is no foul play.  Majority of the people like me believe that no chaos will take place if Najib and his team admit the defeat and let go.  Never act like Assad in Syria, ex-Gaddafi in Libya………
Always think before you open your big mouth to condemn and belittle or you will get the same impact:  power-crazy when you condemn the people to be demo-crazy.  When the BN leaders (XXXX4 ) condemn and belittle the PR leaders, we scrutinise the words and deeds of the BN leaders many times more.  Every word you utter to condemn them, you also face up to the examination.  The PR leaders are the watchdog now. They can bark as a watchdog but the ruling party should never bark back many times more because we people expect you to prove yourselves in concrete evidences by building good road system, providing good medical services, giving good education, facilitating the basic infrastructures like water and electricity supply………….
Seeing XXXX4 barking so much and doing so little only discredits you more and more because the old saying, “Seeing is believing”.   When we see only lousy road system like Pan-Borneo Highway which we feel humiliated, offended and ashamed to have such a narrow and winding road to be called “Highway”.  We feel ashamed to see that at least 60% of the road in Sarawak is still not tar-sealed and very poor.  I believe people just curse and curse the BN government when the road turn muddy during the wet season.  Nowadays we people know who is to be blamed for their plights in the macro-environment.  Majority of people in Sarawak just hate Taib Mahmud and his cronies.  We all see Taib Mahmud as corrupt as the late Gaddafi in Libya, Hosni Mubarak, the toppled president of Egypt,  toppled Ben Ali in Tunisia, toppled Abdullah Saleh in Yemen, and Assad in Syria.  Assad in Syria is like a demon as he causes so much misery and chaos in Syria as he refuses democracy to people there.
When we see “RM4 million wind turbines functioned for only four days”, we only whom to curse for the failure.   When we see poor medical services, we only what has gone wrong.  When we see how much people have to bear for the cost of higher education, we know what corruption and collusion mean.  We all believe a lump sum has been paid to the BN leaders for the licences, hence the poor students have to bear the cost.  Yes, they have PTPTN loan to access but it is a debt that it takes years to pay back.  Besides, they often have to pay exorbitant fee RM500- RM1000 for each paper of the examinations.  If a student takes 3 subjects, that means he has to pay (RM500-RM1000) X 3 =? .  Alamat!  Guess how many % of our learners can afford this payment!
It is a curse to see “M’sian timber exports revenue amounts to RM20.03 bln in 2011”  when the local sawmills and furniture industry constantly face the shortage in Sarawak.  This is the hard fact that I witness and experience personally when I go to the sawmills for some good quality of wood for my chicken coops and other purposes.  I built racks for hanging clothes, benches for my garden tools and so on.  I like wood products.  When I asked around why there are only iron clothes rack available.  The shop operators told me wood racks would be more expensive to come by.  Alamat!  How come this thing happens in a timber-rich state like Sarawak.  People say Monopoly that Taib Mahmud and his cronies created is the curse of their plights  and the causes for our disaster.
Monopolising just penetrates every sector including the fishes in Sarawak waters.  Fishes like black pomfret (RM19-RM20 a kilo no matter what sizes), silver pomfret (RM 37 for weight 500g -600g); BM47 for 800g -1000g); mackerel (RM18-20 a kilo for whatever weight)……… everything seems to go out of bound.  I often wonder how high income we should reach to counteract with the monopoly.  We people are always at the mercy of the monopoly.   As long as a few control the lots of the mass, there is no end of the misery of people.  It is monopoly that Najib and his team should work hard on to undo though there is only little time left for them to amend for the wrongs, sins and crimes they have committed.
Stop bluffing and stop condemning but put in all your effort in to de-monopoly for some good deeds to deposit in for your own good.

Some common sense and knowledge to review

Points to Points  (17)
Some common sense and knowledge to review
A person does not need to be so rich to be happy.  But a person needs clean and fresh air to survive well.  Every cell in our body needs clean and fresh air to function properly.  A person can’t stand two minutes without air.  (It is dying feeling in less than 2 minutes.)  The well-trained pearl diver can only stand 5 minutes without air.  (a complete Idiot’s guide:  Improving your memory)
Did you know that the air we breathe in now has lead and other pollutants of one kind or another?  Did you know that our lungs would be affected in one way or another?  Did you know that it attributes to lung cancer and other related disease?   How important is oxygen in our body?  A permanent damage to the brain happens to a person who does not get the supply of oxygen for two minutes.  As a result, the person is either paralysed or become a vegetable.  What torture can be greater than in the state of paralysis and vegetable?
A person does not need a lot material possessions to be called a man.  But a person needs clean and pure water to live well.  A human body contains ¾ of liquid to work well.  An adult needs at least 2-3 litres of water a day to stay cool and cleanse the system.  Did you know that the water that we consume daily contain certain high level of mercury and other toxic chemicals that are harmful to our internal organs?
Did you know that our lust and greed for material wealth and indulgent in vainglory cost a heavy toll to our air and water system?  What are these wealth and glory for if the air is so polluted and deemed unfit and the water is contaminated and declared too toxic for consumption?
A person does not need to eat so much to stay alive.  But a person needs a  organic, bio-diversified balanced diet to be healthy.  Did you know that we all eat too much than is really required by our system?  Did you know that our kidney and liver suffer in silence?  Did you know that 90% or more of the food we consume daily contains preservatives, colouring and other chemicals that are not friendly to our bodies?  Did you know that the quality of air, water and food is related to cancer?   We really don’t need to wait for the scientists to tell us so.
Did you know that vegetables contain insecticides, fertilisers and other chemicals?  Have you heard of a kind of chemical that can make green leafy vegetables look so green?
Did you know that a pig fed with processed food and growth promoter (beta-agonist) may not have fat anymore?  If you don’t believe me, you may go to check it yourselves.  (Don’t mistaken it to be a new breed of pig, fatless.  Pork is nice to the Chinese.  But we can’t accept the fact that pigs are fat due to the gene and eating too much as well as having too little exercise.  But our fear of becoming fat like a pig makes us reject the thick fat layer of the pig and thus our pig keepers have no choice but resort to fatless pig to please our consumers.  What consequences we have to face one day?  Who cares!)
Did you know that cattle may not eat grass anymore but processed food?  The processed food may contain the ingredients of cattle and sheep internal organs.  Can you imagine what the end result is?  Have you heard before:  “You are what you eat.”?
A person does not need so many kinds of detergent to keep clean.  A person indeed needs clean water system for the health and well-being to worth a living.  Count the number of detergents you are attached to.  Imagine how much waste we can create in a day.   Think of the water system and how these toxic chemicals come back to us in the drinking water and food we consume.
Have you heard people say the bigger the fish, the more concentrated the mercury and other toxic chemicals are in the fish?  Are you advised to buy smaller fish to be on the safer side?   Well, how long could we upkeep ourselves like this?  How long do you think the condition of win-loss can go on?
The happening of drinking water contaminated with ammonia acid and other toxic chemicals in Selangor is a good and valid example of retribution of our abuse and negligence of our natural environment.  Do we have to wait until the state of pollution has become so alarming to create awareness and remedies?
We really don’t need to take so much medicine to get cured.  We indeed need a strong immune system which has the power to do most of the healing if you are willing to give it time to work up.  However, the proverb “Prevention is better than cure.” should always serve as a good motto.  To stay in good health, our air and water must be clean.  The food our consume must be clean,  organic,  bio-diversified and balanced.  Besides, we need to have enough exercise and rest to keep fit.
To be wealthy is good but health should be the first wealth.  To stay in good health, we need clean air, water and food (organic and bio-diversified).  What is the use of money/ wealth, if our air, water and food are so polluted and contaminated.  It is nightmare to think that the air we breathe in may lead to lung cancer and other lung diseases; the water we take may cause cancer of one kind or another;  the bread from the bakery has health threatening preservative, the noodles contain high level of boric acid, pork and beef contain growth promoter and other chemicals; vegetables have the residue of pesticides, fertilisers and other chemicals instead of mineral and vitamins we need ……………ha …………………………………………….. ………………………………………………..
Clean air to be packed in bags to be sold, too in order to get enough clean air to survive some day.  I think our government should encourage the business for selling “clean air in bags”.  It, no doubt, would become thriving business, a good source of revenue for the country, ha …………………………….….
Drink enough water = drink enough pollutants and other contaminants.  No wonder, at one time many people opted for bottled mineral water which guaranteed free of pollutants and contaminants.  But it is said plastic bottles may leach chemicals and the discovery has deterred people to greater or lesser extent.
Food is enjoyed with mixed feelings to think that you have to eat other contaminants along.  You might have to pay a heavy toll for your indulgence.  So a new trend is to eat less if you can in order to avoid your system being contaminated too much.
Now how do you evaluate your lives when you need to buy packaged clean air to breathe or buy an air-filtering device to filter the air; need to treat your water from the tap again by installing infra-ray water filtering system or something like that (Or have you already got one at home?) and well, you definitely need to pay more for clean, organic and bio-diversified food.  I wonder if it is easy to come by even if you want to pay more.  For example, you like to eat “sou mai”, how can you know that the ingredients: pork and wheat flour used are clean and organic?  (The safest way to avoid being contaminated like my family is not to eat “sou mai” anymore.  It was once our favourite.  Actually, we try to reduce or not to eat at all many kinds of preserved foods which were once among our favourites.  After knowing that bread may contain preservatives, we have cut down bread intake and we eat with some sort of fear and distaste.)
Our country does not need to target the population to reach 7000 million (Is it the right figure Dr. M advocated once?).  But our country should aim to develop the existing human capital.  We should have a better medical facilities and services, education system, transport system, social welfare system and other amenities to facilitate the lives of the people in general.  Our government should create enough job opportunities for the needs of the people with different qualifications and skills.  What is it for to have so large a population when people have few job opportunities and have to compete for the limited resources available.  Don’t you view the large population in China, India, Indonesia and the Philippines with apprehension?  Large population only debases the value of lives.  We only create “living hell” on earth here.  Bear in mind how a very heavy toll we human tend to pose on our natural environment.
It is not how huge a “cake of development” to make.  It is about how fair it is to share out the “cake of development”.   It is also about how well-formulated and developed our system is to prevent widespread “pickpocket” of fund allocations for various development projects.  It is about the sustainable development, too.  It is definitely not  plundering and exploitative way of development.
          It is not………………………but it is………………ha………………………….

Birth Control

Point to Point (16)                       Birth Control
We are in an age when we can take charge of our lives.  How many children can you afford to have?  My advice is to count the amount of money you have; the number of bedrooms to accommodate; the quantity and quality of love to bestow and cherish on your children.
I often hear our leaders foster people to give more births in order to gather more votes in the election or to boost the economy.  What a shame and curse to hear that the meaning of births is to satisfy someone’s desire or ambition.
Again, I would emphasise that giving birth is a responsible and planned act in order to ensure well-being and welfare of an individual.  The countries such as Britain, Australia, American, Germany, Japan and the like which can become rich because the people in these countries practise family planning.  They have few children.  The countries like Indonesia, the Philippiness, Thailand and so on are plighted with too many unwanted births.
Who can afford to have more than 7 children well-taken care of now?  I think only our rich men in town.  They live in super-sized mansion with numerous bedrooms to accommodate several generations to live under one roof.  They definitely have enormous amount of money to indulge in, too.
If you live in a detached house, you many have 4 - 5  children.  I think you can manage quite well.
If you live in semi-detached house, maybe you can have 2 – 3 children to maintain a quality life.
If you live in a terraced house, 1 – 2 children should not pose a problem.  But it may require dual income earner to upkeep.
If you live in a low-cost house with 1 – 2 bedrooms, my advice is to have a child or not at all.  A low-cost house is just a little bit better than a kennel or a coop.  It is definitely not a comfortable living condition.  What is it for to have so many children to cram in such a limited space?
It is meaningless if life is full of discomfort, suffering and torturing.  Look at the population in China, India, Indonesia and the Philippines as a whole.  The population in these countries is just too large to do good to the environment, society and economy (except cheap labour to take advantage of and large market to harness).  As we know that our natural resources is limited and not replenished, how can our limited resources counteract with the fast ever increasing rate of human population?  How can a person be happy if he or she has to share food or space meant for two but 7 – 8 fighting for it.
Be wise and sensible when you decide how many children to have.  Think of the number of children in term of space, quality and resources you can afford them.  Human lives should not become cheap and selective.  Don’t feel shocked to hear people say that human lives in China, India, Indonesia and the Philippines are very cheap and low.  Don’t feel offended to hear that the family with too many children is difficult to enjoy happy and comfortable life in term of quality of food, accommodation, education, parental attention and love.
Remember it is not your responsibility to provide cheap labour for rich men.  It is not their birthright to enjoy cheap labour, either.
A poor family become poorer with many children to feed.  Similarly a poor nation become worse with ever increasingly larger population.  This is the reason why China has been forced to adopt one-child policy.
Think of how much rubbish each individual produces daily.  Calculate how heavy the toll our environment has to endure with fast and ever-increasing rate of population.
How can a person be happy and contented in an environment where air, water, noise and food are heavily polluted and contaminated?
What loss does it cause to the Jews to be so few in number to a family, a nation and the whole human race?
Many Chinese leaders (buon tyen soh kuong) indulge in the belief that more births in the Chinese race will help to increase the number of Chinese candidates to win in the election.  They believe in that the Chinese will cast the votes for the Chinese candidates.  Is this true?  Now Samy Vellu also encouraged Indians to give more births.  Alamat!  What a shame!  What a curse!  These leaders should first work out “a birth package” like Australia to encourage births.  Otherwise, it is hard not to be condemned for their slippery tongue.
In a truly democratic and civilised society where people are well-educated and mature, they only cast their votes to select the truly qualified leaders regardless of their race, creed and religion.
In conclusion, i still insist on the fact that giving birth is a responsible and planned act of a couple in a family.  Every life should be precious and should deserve clean and decent micro and macro living conditions.  What do you think?

Words condensed in "Ifs"

Points To Points (15)
                             Words condensed in “Ifs”

What a irrational hike it is!  Imagine 4 times hiking in 14 months.  No wonder, it has triggered our pent-up anger and frustration into screams, shouts, shrieks, shrills, squeaks and squeals.  But these screams, shouts, shrieks, shrills, squeaks and squeals have condensed now into the conditions “Ifs”.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billion of money saved from oil subsidy every year will be used to improve the road system and other structures, we, people will definitely appreciate and feel grateful for the work done.  But please remember Sarawak, the oil producing state.  Besides, improving the road system and infrastructures, do endow ‘teeny-weeny privilege’ to us being an oil producing state.  Remember don’t let the problem of shortage of oil to repeat in the oil-producing state, Sarawak again.
Don’t make me pin-point to you an analogy about a cow being reared in place A but milk is ‘harvested’ to feed those in Place B again and again.  The scenario of oil matter just conjures this analogy naturally in the mind of every rational Sarawakians, of course, with the exceptions of some.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billion of money saved from oil subsidy will be well-spent, please keep accountability of this money.  Make sure that you are not tempted to fill the bottom pit of those spoilt rotten industries like Malaysian Airline System, ailing national car industry and many and many irresponsible and wasteful government agencies.
Teaching the ethics of independence is to make them learn the ‘virtue of responsibility‘ and follow the ‘law of accountability’.  Hence transparency in governance is a must to prevent yourselves from falling prey to your own weaknesses.  Let there be no more chance for the heads to become indulgent and lustful in management and their lives.  Let us poke at and check on you regularly.  Remind yourselves that it is “the government of the poeple, for the people and by the people” (the basic principles of democracy).  Adhere to the rules strictly to ensure the proper running of the government.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billions of money saved from oil subsidy every year will be well-spent, make sure that you really “practise as you preach”.  Just to remind you our education system needs enough investment to develop our human resources that are vested with the power to bring prosperity or downfall of our nation.
On behalf of the people in Sibu, Sarawak, I plead for a university spacious, well-staffed and well- administered  enough to make us feel proud through and through.  Don’t make us feel envy of those universities with big big campus in Australia, New Zealand and even some of universities in Taiwan which are just too marvellous to describe.  I don’t know how hundred hectares the university of Tong Hai in Taiwan occupies.  Oh dear!  We want a university of that standard in Sibu.
We, Sibuans have paid so much tax from the number of the trees we cut down for years and years and we should have accrued enough wealth for a university of international standard.   Don’t ever lavish our money on luxurious and unnecessary structures that may look appealing and stimulating but serve not much purpose for the general well-being and welfare of our people.  Please help us to save ‘cash-flow’ for education in other places (at least 88 million) (Correct me if i am wrong ) from Sibu.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billions of money saved from oil subsidy every year will be well-spent,  we shall feel comforted and relieved.  However,  do exercise some check on the oil companies for indiscriminate exploiting and plundering and lustful for spilling full of profit.  Then, they indulge the money in sponsoring such luxurious pastime like Formula 1 car racing.  Alamat!  What a curse!  What a shame!  Don’t squander our resources for superb standard of and luxurious life for some.  Strive to ensure the substainable development.  How long do you think people can endure the indulgence and lust of the few rich at the expense of the poor?  Convey the survey to find out how wasteful, lustful, indulgent and exploitative these rich people are.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billions of money saved every year will be well-spent, good, good, good.  However, the hike in oil price results in downturn effect of prices of other things go a ‘hiking’ too, please accept the conditions as natural as you said that oil in the world market rises and so definitely our country needs to increase the price of the oil.  Therefore, what a fuss you make when the business operators of all kinds want a hike, too.  You allow the oil companies full monopoly of price rise at their will and why and why and many thousand whys the rest of the business operators are suppressed for some price increase, too.
You always allow conglomerates to manipulate the prices at free-will but you suppress the small and medium business operators for the slight increase of the price or fee to sustain their operation.  It is too authoritative and dominating for fair-play of the game.  The price of houses is increasing all the time.  The oil companies are earning to the bursting and bursting full.  Yet the bus companies or school bus operators only seek for a minimum increase of fee, you fuss and fume, fume and fuss to suppress them.  What kind of economic policy is this?  I think we need to make a study of this,  if possible to review it with more developed countries like Singapore, Hong KongAustralia, Japan, England and the like to seek some justification.
If it is natural for the hike in oil price, it is even more natural for the rest of businesses to increase the price.  The oil companies always earning to the spilling still lust for the bursting profit and what do you fume for small and medium business operator to maintain a standard of profit?
The word “If” is a conditional word to ponder with wisdom.  The condensed word “if” either blossom into words of appreciation and gratitude or burst like an nuclear bomb as a result of desperation.  The consequences of the negative impact is just too overwhelmingly diestructive beyond any imagination.  In other words, the angry, frustrated and desperate people are prepared for the worst.  When death is no longer a threat, what can really hold them back?
If so as you said, 4.4 billions of money saved every year will be used for development, don’t forget to improve the medical service in our country so that any illnesses that our ministers and their loved ones and the rich people contract do not have to travel long distance to other countries with advanced medical facilities for treatment.  In this way, we can prevent cash-flow to other countries and a loss of our foreign currency.  Hence, build and set up the high standard of medical service reachable for every citizen in this country.
If so as you said, 4.4 billions of money saved every year can be channelled for more useful development, do take care of the poor and helpless.  Help them to help themselves gradually.
To conclude my viewpoint, my last advice is be fair to every living soul in this country.  If God means “Love and Justice”, check if the practices are well-done for God’s sake.  We people want decent living conditions and an appropriate standard of living.  Though you may say, “Human desires know no bound.”,  the overall people know their bounds and means of survival in this material and technological oriented environment.  We people don’t want the scenario of protest and hatred in our neighbouring countries like the Philippines, Indonesia and now Thailand  to ‘brew’ here.  We hate disharmony and disruption of any kind as we don’t want to get hurt in any manner.  To end my point, I recommend you a book “A Tale of Two Cities” to enjoy and the history of French revolution to recall.  “To protect the rich and bully the poor” will have very terrible consequences to face sooner or later.  Don’t view my words threatening in any way and don’t categorise me as a “terrorist” because I am so open and straightforward to let you know the truth of the truths as I can’t suppress myself not to tell the truth.  (If i am wrong, please correct me.)   We,  simple and ordinary people, quest for a happy, meaningful and fulfilling life but we need the means and the conducive environment to realise our dreams and hopes.  May our wishes be granted in a fair and democratic way.

If so as you said, .............................................If so as you said, .....................

When mor = less

Points to Points (14)      When more = less
It is not the number and variety of flowers, plants and trees on the roadside that will invoke people to appreciate.  But it is the convenience of parking bays at the right distance apart for road users to go for a break from driving for many reasons without obstructing the traffic flow.  It is natural for people to feel grateful with this understanding.
It is not how ‘garden-like’ our town, city and country should look that will attract the people.  It is the consideration our authorities concerned show towards our motorcyclists with the construction of motorcyclist lanes.  It is statistically proved that our motorcyclists like pedestrians and bicyclists are the most vulnerable on the road.  They always rank No. 1 in fatal road accidents.  It is the safety of motorcyclists to be our priority.  What can be more precious than life?
It is not how pretty our town, city and country should appear.  It is how much has been done to straighten and improve the bends and curves for the safety of our road users.
It is not how impressively our town, city and country should present.  It is how much has been done to adjust the gradient of the road for the safety’s sake.
It is nothing to show off and bluff how extensive our road system is.  It is how well-maintained and how low the accident rate our road system is is something worth trumpeting.
It is not how luxuriously our town, city and country should be viewed.  It is how decent and hygienic the living conditions people are subject to.
It is not how accurately you record the number of road fatalities in statistics to prove your efficiency.  It is how much effort you put in to identity the causes and reduce the fatalities to its minimum.
It is not how often you repeat in words about how much you have done for the people.  It is time that you should know the proverb, ‘Actions speak louder than words’.  Words are expected to be followed by concrete effort and evidence of your words.  It is ‘Seeing is believing.’  (It is seeing the quality product to establish the trust.)
It is not how frequent you party and enjoy the fun around to be popular.  It is how self-disciplined, well-versed, considerate, concerned (about the welfare of the people), helpful and how people-friendly you are  to win the hearts of the mass.
It is not how well you know how to persuade to gain support and respect.  It is how much time you spend on self-reflection, to acquire knowledge and information and how much you care to know and understand the needs of the people to gain the respect.
It is not how often you present yourselves in political meetings to show how much you represent the people.  It is ‘A leader in need is a good leader indeed’.  Speak out (Trumpet if you think is better.) and fight for the rights to be compensated for the people for the loss they suffer in floods, culling of the poultry to prevent the spread of the disease, natural disasters and the like.  Remember ‘Silence is not golden’ in this respect, understand!.
It is not to show-off and impress how capable you are to line the streets with trees and potted plants and deprive people of parking bays.  It is the conducive environment you can provide to people to carry on their lives at ease.
It is not to spend taxpayers’ money on the useless structures that will only make our town too congested.  It is to make a careful planning how to spend the taxpayers’ money wisely for the benefit and well-being to as many people as possible.
It is not.................... It is ........................................

Top-hit on road danger

Points To Points  (13)
                                      Top-hit on road danger
Road accidents have become a very common feature in Malaysia.  They occur amost daily and are so common that we also take them as ‘part and parcel’ in our life.  We might one day become so ‘numb’ and indifferent that we would drive past without any feeling.
Now let’s list the top-hit causes of road accidents in mind map.

Road conditions                long distant driving                   conditions of vehicles

          Poor visibility                                                                            weather conditions
                                                Road Accidents
Drivers’ attitude                                                               time of the day
          Traffic police                                                                    speed

1.  Road conditions
                   Road conditions leads the tophit.
a)    lack the parking bays at the right distance apart
Road users need a break at times from driving for many reasons.  Don’t take this need of the people for granted.  Without parking bays,  road users tend to create their own parking bays at will and hence increase the possibilities of road accidents.  Often they park on the roadside and thus occupy a great part of the road (the right or left lane) too.  As far as I know and observe, they occupy almost one-thirds or half of the right or left lane.  It is very dangerous to other road users.

Hence, I plead the authorities concerned to build parking bays at
right distance apart.  We can have less flower plants and trees
along the roadside.  But parking bays are indispensable and it is a
matter of concern:  life and death.

b)   motorcyclist lanes
Please don’t ignore and overlook the needs of motorcyclists.  Show us in statisics the number of motorcyclists (and the pillion riders) in ratio to other vehicles in Malaysia.  The width of the road as far as I have observed is far too small for a motorist to overtake a motorcyclist.  The road is not MOTORCYCLIST-USER-FRIEDLY at all!  Alamat! What a curse! What a shame that our authorities concerned have been so blind to motorcyclist road users.  No wonder motorcyclists always rate NO. 1 in the road fatalities.  They are like pedestrians and bicyclists are the most vulnerable to road danger according to the law ‘survival for the fittest’.  Our statistics reports on road fatalities reveal the ranking of vulnerability of road users clearly.

Thus, i plead the authorities concerned to construct sufficient
Motorcyclist lanes to protect them from the harm of road users of
Other types of vehicles.  Our country can look less ‘garden’ but
motoryclist lanes are a ‘must’ to ensure road safety to our weaker
      brethrens.

c)    road gradient
The gradient of the road is one of the causes of road accidents.  Find out for me how frequent road accidents happen in this road condition.

Therefore, i beg the authorities concerned to take prompt action to
improve the condition.  Our country can look less ‘pretty’ but
     safety is our priority.

d)   road curves / bends
A road which is too curved or bent can pose danger, too.  I wonder how much has been done to straighten and improve

You don’t need to boast how long the roads and how many roads
you have constructed throughout the country but we need your
concrete and committed effort to present us with safe and proper
     road conditions .

Here, i beg the authorities concerned to act now to improve the
     road condtions.

                   e)  regular maintenance
It is nothing to bluff about how long and how many roads you have
built.  But it is something to being able to maintain the road in good
condition at all places and at all time

Well............, if road accidents occur because of the factors as mentioned above i think our authorities concerned should take 100% of responsibilities and make yourselves accountable:  compensate properly for the damage and loss.  What can be a better way to force yourselves to be responsible and accountable. Or be prepared to be sued in court.

          2.  weather conditions
Weather condition also contributes to road accidents.  On rainy days, the
road can become too slippery to road users   Besides, the visibility is also           much reduced.  In this case, our road users are only have themselves to
blame if accidents occur (with road condition variables hold constant: ideal).
          3.  conditions of vehicles
The conditions of vehicles can decide the matter of ‘life and death’ of a
person, too.  Hence an individual road user should make effort to main the        vehicle in good condition at all cost. The engine, brake and the grip of the
wheels have to maintain in tiptop condition at all times.  Thus an individual
should be 100% responsible for an accident if it happens because of the
              vehicle.

i suggest our authorities concerned  make it compulsory to require
road users to have the regular check-up of the vehicle and with a
certificate to prove of the service.

        4. poor visibility
Road users can’t see well on rainy or gloomy days.   I think road
users should be blamed for 100% for not being careful if an
accident happens because of the weather conditions.  Road users can’t see
much and far when the road is too bent.  Of course, the authorities concerned
should improve at all cost.  Otherwise.......

          5. long distant driving
A road user becomes fatigue over long distant driving.  When a
person is tired, it is natural for him to become careless.  And this
can result in a road accident.  It is 100% the driver’s fault (with the road
             condition variables hold constant: ideal)

        6. time of the day driving
The time when you are driving is a ruling factor, too.  When you drive at
night, the possibilities of accident is increased by many % as far as visibility is
concerned.  Besides, the time you are supposed to sleep is used for driving
can affect your biological clock to a great extent and hence your alertness.  A
human being is not a nocturnal animal.  Therefore, s/he should
avoid driving at night at all cost.  Avoid driving at night means
avoid courting with ‘the goddess of Death’ unnecessarily.

7.     speed
A right speed is expected at all places and at all time.  However, some reckless, selfish and mischievous persons refuse to comply to this ruling and hence they not only bring danger to themselves but also other road users.  Speeding often accounts for 100% of fatal car accidents.

Thus, i plead the authorities concerned to set limit to driving at
all places.  Along highways, the speed limit should never
exceed 120 km/h.  Let the highest speed to be set at 120 and
so mechanically set as that.

          8.  traffic police
The traffic police play a vital role in road safety.  As we know, a
human being is after all a human being.  When a person is not
so self-disciplined, his mischievous self tends to dominate him.
Therefore, he may become reckless and selfish in driving.  With
the presence of the traffic police can certainly curbs the
misbehaviour of these drivers.  Besides, the traffic police can
serve as effective reminders to road users of following traffic
rules and right speed.   Besides, it is nothing so difficult to have the traffic
police to be stationed at the accident prone locality (The viable alternative, of
course to find out the reasons why this location is so accident-prone and
solve the problems once and for all).  (Prevention is better than cure.)
(Solution to the root cause is better than problem suppression)

To conclude my points of view, i would like to stress again here that by improving the road conditions at least 80% (if not more) of road accidents will be reduced.  Believe it or not:  Try and see.  Act promptly to construct sufficient parking bays and motorcyclist lanes as well as improve the road conditions.
Don’t shirk your responsibilities and blame road users for your incapabilities and shortcomings.  If you have done enough, the rest is road users’ business to cope.  Some road users are not so well-prepared (ignorant) or overwhelmed with the road system.  They seemed to need to be taught again.  Regular road comapigns perhaps can help these road users to overcome this diability.
If you have provided them with a conducive road system and have carried out enough road campaigns to teach and orientate them to the road system.  That’s it.  The rest of the matter can leave to road users to adjust.  Bear in mind, our traffic police should have an important role to play in road safety, too.
My last advice here is:  Never take road accidents as a natural phenomenon.  This attitude will only breed more road accidents as this mentality tends to prevent a person to identify causes for the problems.  As a result, road accidents have remained an age-old and grave problems since 20 plus years ago and getting worse.  I wonder whose fault it is!  Hence how ‘boleh’ Malaysia is is based on our leaders’ ability to identify problems (causes) and solve the problems.  What do you think?
