Where Dayak failed?

Where Dayaks failed?

Race politics is bad and it was designed by TUNKU and UMNO to split other races so that malay could stay in power as long as they like. SNAP was the dayak party founded by a group of dayaks including Ningkan in 1961 and in 1963 brought in Chinese into the party. That was a good move. Wee Hood Teck and Wee Boon Ping became the financiers. So was James Wong later on.

PESAKA formed by THOMAS KANA. He and Ningkan both dressers, never like each other. PESAKA founders were from the Rejang Basin never like SNAP because they said SNAP was only for Saribas dayaks. Dayaks from both sides sowed disunity.

Ningkan wanted Jugah to be the first governor of Sarawak but this was opposed by the malays in KL because they wanted a malay for governor if Ningkan was chief minister.

This was after April 1963 Sarawak Elections. Tun Openg was then made governor. Sarawak nearly got a malay from Johore UMNO as the first governor at that time.

Malaya had interfered with Sarawak affairs even before Malaysia was born. Malaya had interfered with the sovereignty of Sarawak and this should not be acceptable.

Being not able to be governor, Jugah agreed to accept the federal cabinet minister post of minister for Sarawak Affairs resident in Sarawak. Meaning that he needs not to be in KL

Jugah merged PESAKA with Parti Bumiputera helmed by Tun Rahman. PBB was born. While Rahman was chief minister, Jugah as federal minister was president of PBB but he didn’t stay long as president before Tun Rahman took over the presidency.

That was how dayak political influence been curtailed until now. The next move was to destroy Ningkan, who told off Tan Sri Ghazali Shafie that dayaks are not sakai.

The drama continues

It was also Tun Jugah who led members of Council Negri to petition to Tun Openg that led to Ningkan crisis. Ningakan was sacked as chief minister of Sarawak by Tun Openg.

Chinese tycoons tried to save Ningkan, but they failed. James Wong became President, and this dayak based party, SNAP was strong again but James Wong, accused of being disloyal to Sarawak was sent to prison. It was a malicious accusations and people disbelieve it.

SNAP was cornered and chose to join BN.

BN being controlled by UMNO and PBB was happy when SNAP joined BN. This allowed race politics of Ketuanan Melayu strategized by Tunku and UMNO grew stronger and is very strong until now.

SNAP split because the dayaks intellectual disagreed with James Wong at the top although he had the finance and was able to build the party. Hid good job was destroyed.

Now SNAP is dead and buried.

Jugah, the dayak paramount leader, looked strong, but, was easy to handle by the malays. They pressured him to drop out from being the governor and offered him a cabinet minister. They brought him and others who was to sign MA63 to see many beautiful white horses and scenic places in London there and they all have good times.

Dayak leaders were brought to see KL and they had good time before Malaysia was formed. Temenggong Lawai Jau praised Malaya after that and Temenggong Jugah was also happy. He said Iban do not wish to karam dua kali, and Jugah helped to influence dayaks to agree to Malaysia while most Chinese in Sarawak at that time opposed Malaysia.

The Chinese who opposed Malaysia were nationalists but was branded as anti-nationals and as communists. Until now, dayaks will say, agree and believe those who fought in the jungle against Malaysia and Malaya, are also communists instead as nationalists.

Now, a dangerous strategy being played in the minds of Sarawakians is about communism and of communists in Malaya and Sarawak in which Sarawakians should not play into their hands if Sarawak wants to break this bondage of liars and political bribery since Jugah’s time.

It was a "sold off" to Malaya by both Temenggongs.

Recently before the last PRU history repeated itself again. A group of dayaks boarded an army helicopter to see Malaya and they were very happy. YBs and ministers escorted them to KL. Many could be the first time to KL.

In every elections chicken wings, beer and some rezeki being thrown from the lorries and helicopters to rural areas, especially, where dayaks are and they were happy. Many as if never saw a helicopter flying over their heads, rushed to greet the dayak YBs who gave them these goodies.

This culture must stop!

It is a political bribery and it started from the days of Tun Jugah.

Sarawakians have to learn their lessons and should know race politics strengthened Ketuanan Melayu and as long as we don’t know the effect of political bribery on us, we shall be under the control of politics KETUANAN MELAYU.

Ironically, the dayaks helped Ketuanan Melayu and they helped chinese as king makers in Sarawak and in Malaysian politics
