The discrepancy of construction cost

Dear Chairman and all,
The Estimated Cost of Construction Platform for the buses
On behalf of the shopowners and people in general, I would like to call for your attention regarding  the cost of constructing the platform for buses at the Sibu Bus Terminal which I believe occupying about an acre plus of land.

Based on the estimation of the developer at Medan Jaya, they can build 8 3-storeyed shophouses in a acre of land.  And each of these shophouses can fetch RM730,000.  Hence for 8 shophouses X RM730,000, the total amount to cash in is RM5.8 million.

Thus we believe contructing the cement platform for the buses may require RM6 million to 8 million most as against the cost claimed by Andrew Wong, the Deputy Chairman to be RM150 million to RM 200 million.

It is 2 to 3 times more.  So whoever get the proposed project,  just in case,  should enjoy the lucrative profit in mega-size.   What a generous delivery of the project from SMC.  I believe there is n% commission for all the high ranking officers involved in the process.

In view of the high cost of constructing the platform, Andrew Wong, the Deputy Chairman of SMC mooted the idea of moving the Sibu Bus Terminal elsewhere.  This is not the first time he and the chairman pestered it.  We all wonder if there are some ulterior motives
he and the chairman, Tiong Thai King have  in their intention.

Well, I think the Chairman and all should act wisely.  It is better for you to do the survey to know the will of the people in general as the location is really convenient for people from all sides.  So my advice is that every move of the SMC should be done on the principles of well-being and welfare of people in the consideration.  It should be people-centred, -friendly and –minded in all the acts.

Thank you for your attention and consideration.
