The Ngo Rose had better check out

The NGO-ROSE claims that Sarawak demands for one-third federal seats allocation has no legal basis. My advice to them is to investigate if MA63 is valid or not.

They may refer to the Chagos Islands case and find out why the British imperialists had to return it to Mauritius eventually.

The NGO claimed that one-third seats allocation is not stated in MA63. Besides, the IGC report of 1962, only guaranteed 25% federal seats allocation for 7 years. After that, the federal seats allocation is based on the population of electorates.

If it were true, then, it would be meaningless for SS to stay in the federation of Malaysia as we would always be at the mercy of Malaya with 83% electorates dominantly.

For the past 59 years, many acts detrimental to SS were passed with two -thirds majority of representation. Hence SS have been plundered, exploited, oppressed, suppressed, looted and bullied since time immemorial.

The said NGO thought SS having 25% federal seats allocation is over-represented.

The increase to 35% would, no doubt, further upset democratic principle of equality.

This is their biased reasoning without thinking that SS are not the territories of Malaya.

Malaysia (Malaya in disguise) consists of Malaya, Sabah and Sarawak in equal partnership. If expressed in geometry, it is an equilateral triangle.

Hence, there should be an equal share of one -third federal seats allocation for each nation. It should be the criteria to decide to stay or quit the federation for good.

It is Indeed ignorant to think that the senators with veto power together with few SS representatives are able to protect the interests and rights of SS. Bear in mind that the federation of Malaysia is following Westminster system with two -thirds majority, they can pass any act as desired.
