TweetsThe trials of drought 22/6/2014

Unless Simunjanians remain as fools and stay cool in face of water woes constantly and do not mind going to the pool, stream/ river /waiting for the water tank from the water board for water  during the drought season, otherwise this BN stronghold will break up in no time .

The Singapore government has no magic lamp either to resolve the problem of water shortage.  But they think of every possible way to upkeep this supply.

They build pools wherever possible to collect rainwater and they recycle water to the extent that it fit for drinking.  They also desalinate sea water and buy water from us.

Through these four ways, they source water and so they do not face water woes like Simunjanians and many areas during the dry spell in Sarawak and other states in Malaysia.

Look at us, how we suffer flash floods at any time of the year and the deluge during the rainy season.  Our BN government never cares much about this precious commodity.

Water is one of our natural resources abundant in supply but we have failed totally in harnessing this bestowal into good use.  Am I sound too extreme to say like that?

For drought, our authorities concerned even think of cloud seeding and drill in the earth to get underground water.  It is too squandering and mindless to do that.

Water is “gold and God” to me.  I just can't imagine how these people feel and fare without tap water and at least 40% of Sarawakians in the rural areas lack of this blessing.
