Points To Points (15)
Words condensed in
“Ifs”
What a irrational hike it is! Imagine 4 times hiking in 14 months. No wonder, it has triggered our pent-up anger
and frustration into screams, shouts, shrieks, shrills, squeaks and
squeals. But these screams, shouts,
shrieks, shrills, squeaks and squeals have condensed now into the conditions
“Ifs”.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billion of
money saved from oil subsidy every year will be used to improve the road system
and other structures, we, people will definitely appreciate and feel grateful
for the work done. But please remember Sarawak , the oil producing state. Besides, improving the road system and
infrastructures, do endow ‘teeny-weeny privilege’ to us being an oil producing
state. Remember don’t let the problem of
shortage of oil to repeat in the oil-producing state, Sarawak
again.
Don’t make me pin-point to you
an analogy about a cow being reared in place A but milk is ‘harvested’ to feed
those in Place B again and again. The
scenario of oil matter just conjures this analogy naturally in the mind of
every rational Sarawakians, of course, with the exceptions of some.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billion of
money saved from oil subsidy will be well-spent, please keep accountability of
this money. Make sure that you are not tempted
to fill the bottom pit of those spoilt rotten industries like Malaysian Airline
System, ailing national car industry and many and many irresponsible and
wasteful government agencies.
Teaching the ethics of independence is to make them learn the ‘virtue
of responsibility‘ and follow the ‘law of accountability’. Hence transparency in governance is a must to
prevent yourselves from falling prey to your own weaknesses. Let there be no more chance for the heads to
become indulgent and lustful in management and their lives. Let us poke at and check on you
regularly. Remind yourselves that it is
“the government of the poeple, for the people and by the people” (the basic
principles of democracy). Adhere to the
rules strictly to ensure the proper running of the government.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billions
of money saved from oil subsidy every year will be well-spent, make sure that
you really “practise as you preach”.
Just to remind you our education system needs enough investment to
develop our human resources that are vested with the power to bring prosperity
or downfall of our nation.
On behalf of the people in Sibu, Sarawak ,
I plead for a university spacious, well-staffed and well- administered enough to make us feel proud through and through. Don’t make us feel envy of those universities
with big big campus in Australia ,
New Zealand and even some of
universities in Taiwan
which are just too marvellous to describe. I
don’t know how hundred hectares the university
of Tong Hai in Taiwan occupies. Oh dear!
We want a university of that standard in Sibu.
We, Sibuans have paid so much tax from the number of the trees we cut
down for years and years and we should have accrued enough wealth for a
university of international standard.
Don’t ever lavish our money on luxurious and unnecessary structures that
may look appealing and stimulating but serve not much purpose for the general
well-being and welfare of our people.
Please help us to save ‘cash-flow’ for education in other places (at
least 88 million) (Correct me if i am wrong ) from Sibu.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billions
of money saved from oil subsidy every year will be well-spent, we shall feel comforted and relieved. However,
do exercise some check on the oil companies for indiscriminate
exploiting and plundering and lustful for spilling full of profit. Then, they indulge the money in sponsoring
such luxurious pastime like Formula 1 car racing. Alamat!
What a curse! What a shame! Don’t squander our resources for superb
standard of and luxurious life for some. Strive
to ensure the substainable development.
How long do you think people can endure the indulgence and lust of the
few rich at the expense of the poor?
Convey the survey to find out how wasteful, lustful, indulgent and
exploitative these rich people are.
If so as you said, this 4.4 billions
of money saved every year will be well-spent, good, good, good. However, the hike in oil price results in
downturn effect of prices of other things go a ‘hiking’ too, please accept the
conditions as natural as you said that oil in the world market rises and so
definitely our country needs to increase the price of the oil. Therefore, what a fuss you make when the
business operators of all kinds want a hike, too. You allow the oil companies full monopoly of
price rise at their will and why and why and many thousand whys the rest of the
business operators are suppressed for some price increase, too.
You always allow conglomerates to
manipulate the prices at free-will but you suppress the small and medium
business operators for the slight increase of the price or fee to sustain their
operation. It is too authoritative and
dominating for fair-play of the game.
The price of houses is increasing all the time. The oil companies are earning to the bursting
and bursting full. Yet the bus companies
or school bus operators only seek for a minimum increase of fee, you fuss and
fume, fume and fuss to suppress them.
What kind of economic policy is this?
I think we need to make a study of this,
if possible to review it with more developed countries like Singapore , Hong Kong , Australia ,
Japan , England and the like to seek some
justification.
If it is natural for the hike in oil
price, it is even more natural for the rest of businesses to increase the
price. The oil companies always earning
to the spilling still lust for the bursting profit and what do you fume for
small and medium business operator to maintain a standard of profit?
The word “If” is a conditional word to
ponder with wisdom. The condensed word
“if” either blossom into words of appreciation and gratitude or burst like an
nuclear bomb as a result of desperation.
The consequences of the negative impact is just too overwhelmingly
diestructive beyond any imagination. In
other words, the angry, frustrated and desperate people are prepared for the
worst. When death is no longer a threat,
what can really hold them back?
If so as you said, 4.4 billions of
money saved every year will be used for development, don’t forget to improve
the medical service in our country so that any illnesses that our ministers and
their loved ones and the rich people contract do not have to travel long
distance to other countries with advanced medical facilities for treatment. In this way, we can prevent cash-flow to
other countries and a loss of our foreign currency. Hence, build and set up the high standard of
medical service reachable for every citizen in this country.
If so as you said, 4.4 billions of
money saved every year can be channelled for more useful development, do take
care of the poor and helpless. Help them
to help themselves gradually.
To conclude my viewpoint, my last
advice is be fair to every living soul in this country. If God means “Love and Justice”, check if the
practices are well-done for God’s sake.
We people want decent living conditions and an appropriate standard of
living. Though you may say, “Human
desires know no bound.”, the overall
people know their bounds and means of survival in this material and
technological oriented environment. We
people don’t want the scenario of protest and hatred in our neighbouring
countries like the Philippines ,
Indonesia and now Thailand to ‘brew’ here. We hate disharmony and disruption of any kind
as we don’t want to get hurt in any manner.
To end my point, I recommend you a book “A Tale of Two Cities” to enjoy
and the history of French revolution to recall.
“To protect the rich and bully the poor” will have very terrible
consequences to face sooner or later.
Don’t view my words threatening in any way and don’t categorise me as a
“terrorist” because I am so open and straightforward to let you know the truth
of the truths as I can’t suppress myself not to tell the truth. (If i am wrong, please correct me.) We,
simple and ordinary people, quest for a happy, meaningful and fulfilling
life but we need the means and the conducive environment to realise our dreams
and hopes. May our wishes be granted in
a fair and democratic way.
If so as you said,
