Tweets Sense of urgency 17/11/2014
“A
disaster waiting to happen” (BP13/11/2014)
at SMK Belaga termites ravaged hostels if an urgent action is not taken to
address the problem.
The
said hostels built in 1980 are housing 800 students and may collapse at anytime like SK Ba Punan which
collapsed years ago killed and injured a number of students.
Liwan
Lagang, the Belaga assemblyman horned out the urgency of the matter. Ya, he has written 4 times to the Minister of
Education to request for an immediate action.
Personally,
he has met Muhyiddin Yassin 2 times and reiterated the matter. But his words both in written and oral forms have
fallen on dead ears.
Ng….he
wrote to DPM, Mary Yap harping on the same matter but she told him the project
was being re-tendered and new contractor had been appointed.
In desperation,
so he sought for Press to amplify his voice on the issue.
After the press release, I believe, there is still no response at all.
Hence,
“Ugak ‘beeps’ SMK Belaga SOS to DPM” (BP15/11/2014) and
pleaded with so much urgency for an immediate action to rectify the situation first
as there is no more time to wait.
The
new hostels, they believe, would take a
year or two to complete and I believe longer based on the habits, culture and
practice of the BN government.
Liwan!
Ugak! and all the ministers, be you state assemblywo/men or parliamentary stand
up for the good cause to demand in accord and unison for an immediately action
to address the issue.
Stage
the demonstrations if needed to call for the parents whoever you are to protest
for the poor souls, 800 in number at risk of being injured or killed at the
said hostels if they collapse.
Ask
our Chief Minister Adenan to speak out for these poor souls, why not? He should be protect the dignity, esteem and rights
of all the Sarawakians.
It is
the non-election time for Najib, Muhyiddin and other leaders to hear you, I
mind you, and I hope we all get prepared mentally to flush out them out once
and for all.
For
all the efforts, we should salute Liwan Lagang and Ugak, especially as he
helped Liwan without any fear of being discriminated .
