Blog and Tweet  8/8/2018    Please respect the agreements
It is clearly stated and agreed upon in the PH manifestoes that the Prime Minister should not meddle in the National Finance.  Now this Old horse, the arch-swindler and embezzler has appointed himself to be Chairman of Khazanah National Sdn Berhad which owns Malaysia sovereign wealth funds.  He has involved himself directly and indirectly in the national finance
When there is a mix-up of political thugs like Dr M in the financial business of Khazanah National business, there is for sure a mess-up many times worse than IMDB.  He had proved himself to be in his past ministry as PM.  We have enough evidences to show how he burnt the public funds in those megaprojects and quite a number turned out to be just white elephant projects.  Allah knows how much wealth he had amassed in the process by just 10% commission and other awards in the forms of shares given to his children.  Count the wealth of his children and he himself.
In the name of Malays or Natives, he blundered and plundered through the process.  30% shares of Natives are just too elusively wild dreams to 90% of Natives as they are too far from the centre of power to enjoy this ‘All-win tickets’ to wealth.  We have witnessed how only 10% of the Natives enjoy these privileges at the expense of 90%.  It is just like a big cake in the celebration only those who are invited can enjoy the cake.  The rest can only look at them enjoying the food.  I believe that nowadays no one is so idiotic to feel overjoyed at the food by looking at those who are tasting it.
To prevent ourselves to get drowned in another wave of tsunami , I hope that people are prepared to oust him to ‘nip the evil in the bud’.   Don’t wait until the matter gets out of hand.  1MDB should be a good reference.  The businesses of Khazanah National will be many times worse.  Remember how he squandered public funds (at the expense of oil and gas resources of us, Sarawak) which is believed amounting to RM 100 billion or more.  Mass demonstration should be organised to express our disagreement and fury.  This supreme actor only cares about his own interests to care about others.  For Malays or Bumiputras’ benefits are just sweet words to woo idiots to believe him.

IDEAS warns the new government to have a clear mind on automotive policy

hadaina
Kuala Lumpur, 31 July 2018 – IDEAS has responded to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s plans to curb car imports and introduce a new national car in the near future. Tun Mahathir spoke in parliament regarding the government’s intention to impose stricter technical standards to the automotive industry to ensure higher standard and safety of imported cars coming into the Malaysian market. He also argued that more stringent policy would protect the Malaysian ‘infant’ automotive industry.
In response, IDEAS economist Adli Amirullah has said that the future of automotive policy still remains uncertain. He said “The government should be clear about its plans for automotive policy. Technical standards on imports to ensure passenger safety are welcome but other barriers to trade, including taxes and duties, designed to protect Malaysia’s domestic industry should be avoided.”
Adli Amirullah also challenged the claim that Malaysia’s car industry is at an “infant” stage. He said “Proton and Perodua have been in the market for at least 33 years and 24 years respectively. Perodua itself has grown so much that now it has the highest market share at 39.8% for passenger vehicles and sold a total of 204,887 units in 2017 alone which surpasses all imported cars. Proton came third after Honda, with 13.8% of market share for passenger vehicles and 70,991 units sold in 2017. These facts prove that there are flaws in an infant-industry argument. How long should our automotive industry be considered as an ‘infant’?”
Regarding the proposal for a third national car, Adli Amirullah welcomed new players coming into the automotive industry if and only if the government itself stays away from the market. He said “In principle; we should not prevent any market player entering the industry if they have the capacity to do so. But, the government needs to stay away from the market and should not involve itself directly or indirectly in the process of setting up a third national car.” Instead, he argued that the government should focus on promoting competition: “There are still many ways to ensure the current local automotive industry remains competitive, without setting up a new market player. One of the ways is to reduce excise duties on imported cars to reduce prices and motivate local car manufacturers to produce better quality products,” explained Adli Amirullah.
“The government needs to have a clear mind on which direction that they are planning to go. Malaysia should be open to trade and look to competition, rather than direct government support, to develop a competitive domestic car industry” concluded Adli Amirullah.

My comments:
I hope Dr M, the megalomaniac and nepotist will take heed of the suggestion and facts here to stop his wild dream for the third national car.  He should focus his mind on improving the systems of government by the people,  for the people and of the people.  There should not be anymore One-man rule all and all the mess up.  He plundered and blundered through for the past tenure as PM for 22+ years.  Now, he should avoid making the same mistake twice or he would be condemned and cursed for evermore.  HIs notoriety would last more than 2 trillion years more than.  It is known that he has amassed through different means by hook or crook more than RM 2 trillion.  People have the full information of the wealth his family on the internet.  It is not a secret and he should know it.
I hope One Day he and his children will face the tribunal.

How Tata Nano hit a big bump in India

By  Lijee Philip
MUMBAI: The Tata Nano was a small car that was expected to deliver big numbers — the new plant at Sanand in Gujarat was built to produce 2.5 lakh units a year, eventually ramping up to 5 lakh units. But 15 months after a high-profile launch, it has encountered trouble at every turn — three instances of the car going up in flames and a few cases of smoke emanating from it (the last was in September), confusion about its positioning, a rather unexpected bunch of affluent initial buyers, poor ddistribution reach, and financing bottlenecks. Nano’s sales have dipped from 9,000 units in July to 3,000 in October to just a little over 500 in November.

An ETreporter who visited Sanand on Tuesday met workers at the industrial zone who said production of the Nano has come to a near standstill; the number of workers there has decreased by 80% in the last month. The company declined to answer a specific emailed query on the firm stopping Nano production, Nano production, even though it opened up to detailed interviews on all other aspects of the car.

Many dealers say they have not picked up any fresh stock during the last two months as they were trying to sell existing cars. Dealer inventories at the beginning of November are estimated to be 17,000-20 ,000 units, according to officials at Nano’s dealers and suppliers. The company says that inventory levels are not so high, though it declined to disclose numbers.
“I am a little surprised by the Nano’s sales figures,” says the head of a rival car manufacturer speaking on the condition of anonymity . “The car was positioned as an alternative to two-wheelers , but that’s not happening. Those looking to upgrade from two-wheelers are put off by the negative publicity (over the fires) and safety issues and buyers of the top-end Nano will rather put in a few thousand more and buy another car like the Alto,” he adds.
“The Nano was to sell on ‘demand pull’ , but now it’s plagued with poor image and quality issues ,” says a top-ranking executive who has worked with a car company in the past. “The Nano was supposed to attract maximum footfalls to dealerships and have a rub-off effect on its other models. But it hasn’t .”
Is the small car hurtling into a big crisis? And what is the company doing to fix it? It’s easy to attribute the deteriorating sales of the Nano to the incidents of the fire. (More on that later.) But there is perhaps also a deeper marketing failure that’s lurking behind the smoke.

My comments:
Old horse/Dr M, who is a totalitarian, megalomaniac, nepotist, arch-liar, swindler, embezzler, supreme actor.... is a selfish, greedy, ugly, self-centred.... person.  He has never cared to abide by agreements, manifestoes or treaties when he sees them not to his full advantages and interests.
He only cares to fulfill his political aspirations and ambitions with no concern about the interests of the mass though he so often pays verbal lip service in the name of Malays or Bumiputra.   I hope no Malays or Natives are so idiotic to be fooled over again by his sweet and vain words.
He is ambitious to introduce the third car 3.0 at the expense of the public transport and the people in general.  He wants to burn oil and gas resources in the territories of  Sarawak and Sabah and other oil producing states in Peninsular Malaya.
He will cause fury 90% of the people in the Federation.  It is unwise to force people to gather in the mass demonstration to protest when he is only concerned about his ambition without much care about the livelihood of people in general.
Stop thinking and introducing the third car as there are already too many cars on the road and far too many accidents in a year.  What is the average deaths in the car accidents per day?   Let's count and sue the government for their faults for not improving and upgrading the public transport.
I hope that people will be prepared to demonstrate to protest if this nepotist is going to introduce the third car.  It should be nipped in the bud.  Don't wait until it has tested to fail like Tata Nano in India.
Dear brethren, be prepared to protest as everyone of us will be affected in one way or another by Dr M irresponsible and selfish actions to introduce the third car 3.0.  He is digging his own grave and he might face up to the tribunal for his blunders in many mega projects and investments in the Forex Exchange, especially.
He has to be careful as his ambitions and greed will expedite to his speedy downfall.  Most people do not expect him to seat as PM for more than two years.  He behaves as if he could stay on forever.  He does not see what is more important matter beneficial to people most to deal with now.  He is so obsessive to his ambitions and greed for more for himself and his family.

(Yes, I have read the article written by Tay Tian Yan 郑丁贤 Sin Chew Daily。  This piece of news should serve as a good advice to take heed to think thrice or more.)

Blog and Tweet 3/8/2018 那一门儿的道理?

Blog and Tweet  3/8/2018

Reject GPS, peninsular based candidates, PBDSB tells Sarawakians
KUCHING: Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru ( PBDSB) has called on Sarawakians to reject Peninsular Malaysia- based coalition parties and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) as both are opportunists in leveraging over Sarawak’s rights as a platform for their political interests.
Its information chief Bobby William believes that the right choice for Sarawakians is Sarawak Baru, which will be set up by local Sarawak opposition parties.
He said unlike Pakatan Harapan (PH) and GPS, Sarawak Baru is not only sincere in championing the rights of Sarawakians which are embodied in Malaysia Agreement 1963 ( MA63) but also the exclusive rights of Sarawak people over their land.
Providing an example, Bobby said the statements on oil and gas royalties over the past months by both PH and GPS had been quite a “push and pull” predicament.
Providing an example, Bobby said the statements on oil and gas royalties over the past months by both PH and GPS had been quite a “push and pull” predicament.
He claimed that Sarawak PH leaders had made the same mistake as Barisan Nasional (BN) lawmakers from Sarawak in the past by agreeing to the Petroleum Development Act 1974 ( PDA74), making it as though Sarawak’s oil and gas and also sales tax belong to the federal government entirely, which is clearly not at all.
He alleged that Sarawak PH was willing to compromise Sarawak’s rights by offering their so- called ‘new deal’”, that comes with terms and conditions, while the state government’s action to empower the Oil Mining Ordinance (OMO) 1954 from July 1, 2018 was late in coming.
He said the failure of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg to resolve the issue also had a bad impact on Sarawak.
Bobby pointed out that based on the above, both PH and GPS were not a good and transparent government, saying their political orchestra was only based on their political game to obscure the people’s eyes and subsequently take advantage of Sarawak’s natural resources. “Let’s look at the facts as Sarawakians. Are we requesting for an increase in oil and gas royalties or the ‘whole enchilada’ of Sarawak’s autonomous rights in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 ( MA63)?
“If we want MA63 to be honoured and respected as how it was agreed prior to the formation of Malaysia, shouldn’t we just focus on such objectives instead of being influenced by other means which could compromise such focus?” he stressed.
Bobby noted that it is an undeniable fact and also known that the Federation of Malaysia was formed with Sarawak based on equal partnership and not as a subordinate subservient to the federal government or Malaya as a whole.
He said accepting whatever offer which might compromise the full recognition of Sarawak’s autonomous rights shows clearly the weaknesses of Sarawak’s leaders, when they continue to give the impression that they were willing to accept or establish any ‘new deal offer’ at the expense of Sarawak’s autonomous rights
He said Sarawak should not be offered a new deal because the state’s autonomy was instituted as an integral part of MA63 during the formation of the federation.
“In actual fact, Sarawakians expect their state’s leaders to ‘tell off’ the federal (government) to restore the state’s autonomy to its original state, as how it was when the federation was formed.
“It is not supposed to be seen as though Sarawak is demanding for something new, it is something which had been long overdue since Article 150 of the Proclamation of Emergency was lifted in November 2011,” he said. Bobby believes that what every Sarawakian expects from the state’s leaders is not to ‘ask for’ for Sarawak’s rights to be returned but ‘ to tell’ and ‘ demand’ the federal government to give back Sarawak’s rights as stipulated during the formation of the federation.
He said after 55 years in the federation, the state’s leaders should have learned more than enough lessons.
He lamented that the bitter pains hidden underneath the smiling faces of Sarawakians for the past 55 years had caused Sarawakians to constantly remind themselves of the experiences they had undergone, for being too complacent, too naive and too accommodative and also willing to be compromised over the years.
“It is best that GPS too should seriously reflect on themselves what they are doing behind the scene and not just leveraging over the MA63 issue for the sake of their political wellbeing and survival because all Sarawakians are watching now and know very well their ways of ‘trick or treat’.”

My comments:
In 2021 Sarawak election, I am for sure to vote for the alternate party or party other than GPS or PH.  It is confirmed.  I have been waiting for the Sarawak-based party with the heart and mind focus and stand firm on the Sarawak autonomy based on MA63 or secede for good.  This party should band up with other local parties with the same aspiration.  They should have the same logo to go to be recognised by the symbol to vote.  I hope that the leaders have started to make known themselves to the locals where they are going to stand.

The Malayan government have become too dependent on the oil and gas resources of Sarawak to survive.  Without our oil and gas supply, they will go upside down and collapse at no time.  After 55 years of plundering and exploitation, they think that they still can go on as they wish.  In the past, only political thugs who betrayed us as the people in general were naive and ignorant.

Now with the full awareness of Sarawakians, we people should have a strong part to play in fighting for our autonomous rights or secede for good.  I believe that we need a really strong government who have the full support from 90% of Sarawkians to drive away the plunderers and expoiters.

We all must learn to protect the autonomous rights of Sarawak at all cost.  Yes, we should secede for good if it is so meaningless to continue to stay in this Federation which stands for nothing but plundering and exploiting us.  Yes, 90% of Sarawakians ask, "Is there any good reason to stay on in the Federation?"

Yes, we need new leaders in full co-operation to lead Sarawakians to establish ourselves once again as a nation.  To remain in the federation or not, it is up to us, we Sarawak people to decide.   It is no longer just the leaders who can decide everything for the people like those practices in the past.  There were in between leaders colluding with leaders to plunder and exploit Sarawakians at will all for their own interests and official positions.

Petronas to export world’s first LNG from floating production unit

SINGAPORE: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) is about to export the world’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) produced from a floating production unit, according to shipping data and people familiar with the matter, beating rivals like Royal Dutch Shell in a race that has cost developers billions of dollars.
The Petronas Floating LNG Satu (PFLNG Satu), sitting off the coat of Bintulu on Malaysia’s Borneo island, is currently loading LNG into the 144,000 cubic meter capacity LNG tanker Seri Camellia, according to trade sources and shipping data in Thomson Reuters Eikon.
“Now, Satu is loading up a tanker, which will leave within the next day or two, making Satu the world’s first LNG that was produced from a floating platform,” one source close to the matter said, declining to be named due to the commercial sensitivity of the deal.
Eikon data shows that the LNG tanker arrived on March 25 and has started loading the LNG cargo. Traders with knowledge of the matter said that PFLNG Satu’s first export cargo was heading for South Korea.
Petronas declined to comment.
The Satu facility, which is estimated to have cost as much as US$10 billion, arrived in those waters last year, preparing for first operations.
Other producers currently developing floating LNG production facilities include Royal Dutch Shell, which with the over-US$12 billion Prelude FLNG is building the world’s biggest maritime vessel for use in Australia. Japan’s Inpex is building a similarly big FLNG unit as part of the US$37 billion Ichthys export project, also for use in Australia.
Both these hugely expensive projects have been plagued by delays, allowing Petronas to become the first company to produce LNG from a floating production unit.
The huge development costs have led some to question whether FLNG units on this scale will be ordered again in future.
The LNG industry is undergoing huge change as the biggest ever flood of new supply is hitting the market, with volumes coming mainly from Australia and the United States.
The oversupply resulted in a more than 70 per cent fall in Asian spot LNG prices from their 2014 peaks to around US$5.50 per million British thermal units (mmBtu). — Reuters
