Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence               22/5/2013
We have the act to protect the women who face domestic violence but what for if they still have no place to stay after reporting to the police?   They still need to go back to the house to continue the life.   They need a shelter.  I believe in having a shelter to house /accommodate them to make it more relevant and effective.
I got a friend whose husband turns violent easily.  If my friend continues bringing out an issue.  He usually will hit her.   Her husband has not been teachable and reachable up to now.  He seems to have his own problem, too.  Yes, he works hard and tries hard to pay for the high housing instalments.

But my friend is a dependant.  They have a son.  My friend reported to the police once about the violence but it was no use.   The police could not do much.
As a friend, I could only tell you to hold her tongue and not to bring out any issue that might excite him to violence.   They have been living together as a husband and wife for 18 years.  I don’t know how many times the husband has asked her to leave whenever they have an argument.  But where on earth can she go?  Hence life just goes on for the sake of her son who is going to sit for his SPM examination this year   Luckily, her husband does not drink wine.  He also loves his son.
Last year, they had an heated argument and her husband spray Ridsect to her eyes and she had to go to the hospital for treatment.  But she had to lie for her plight in order to prevent further trial.  If her husband were in jail, who would feed her and her son and who would pay for the housing instalments?
But if she had a place to stay temporary / permanently, she would avoid all these unnecessary sufferings.   No, she can not go back to her mother’s house because they have a lot of problems, too.  So, these helpless victims need a place to go.   All in all, I request on their behalf for the same thing: [a Mid-way home] for them, please.

Democracy I think and see

Democracy I think and see          21/5/2013
Democracy is like a supermarket and you can get almost all the goods and services you want.  It is also like a good road system (which is ) constructed to facilitate people, not the rich and the strong only.  Democracy is the form of the government set up for the well-being and welfare of the people, not the rich and the strong only.  Democracy means Justice, Fairness and Freedom for all.
If Najib is found to be guilty of corruption and collusion, he will be charged accordingly.  Like Bill Clinton once faced the tribunal for what he had done though he denied all the time.  But he had to face the Justice finally and admitted what he had done.
Everybody is equal before the law.  This is Democracy.  If it is Autocracy, the political thugs are almost always acquitted of the charge as far as I have witnessed for the past 22+ years.  Unless you offend your Big Brother.
Is the machinery of Democracy working properly in Malaysia?  Ask yourselves   Why  was Teo Ben Hock (赵明福) tortured to death for RM2400 for buying some items for the office?  Why is the case of Teo Ben Hock has not been resolved?
Why  was Tiong King Sing who owned two private planes acquitted so easily without further investigation?  Why was Shahrizat’s husband involving in the abuse of allocation funds of RM1.2 billion was not questioned like Teo Ben Hock?  Why ………………….?
I mind you all these are well-recorded and –registered in our hearts and minds.   We people regardless of race and religions are fighting for Justice, Fairness and Freedom in one heart and mind.  The 13th general election is the real fights between Autocracy and Democracy.   People in general in the ratio of 30 : 70 want Democracy.  Though we only got 51% in the election.  But I believe another 20% are ever ready to join us if they feel secure enough in the whole process of election because it is Democracy that promises Justice, Fairness and Freedom.  Thus it is the real promise of well-being and welfare for all.
Believe me in the next election, we shall be able to get 70% of the people to support PR.  With our minds set and our hearts ready, we are able to attain it.
Is Najib able to provide us people the standard of Democracy we crave for?  Have he started the process of decentralisation, de-monopolisation,  well distribute the natural resources to benefit all, not those few,………?  Is the government led by Najib going to benefit all and really will take care of the people properly for the following 5 years?    We shall wait and see!

Mid-way home

Mid-way home                   19/5/2013
To reduce domestic violence at its minimum, I believe in setting up Mid-way home in every town and city to house/ accommodate these victims temporarily / permanently.   Many victims stay on in the house where they are subjected to the violence all the time because they cannot find a better place to stay with their children to consider.   Hence let there be a place for them to go in time of need.
So …………………take action with urgency now.    Just imagine this is you / your sisters / your aunts who need the help.  Register them now and find a place for them now and then look for a permanent home  for them.    We should face up to this fact and the need like an orphanage we have .    Serve them with both hands.  Be honest and sincere to these poor, hungry and helpless victims.
Do you need to wait any longer to give help?  Those who will come for help are always those in desperation.  Do you think besides  filling  up a form, you still need them to look for Kapitan / Temongong to endorse to be qualified after checking their homes like the Welfare Department?
Besides accommodating them, you can train them to become independent persons.  Make them feel like a person with self-dignity and pride to live their life.
        So ………do it now!

Social ills and crimes

Social ills and crimes           19/5/2013
Social ills like drug taking, playing truant, teenage pregnancy, smoking, fighting, bullying, vandalising ……. have become more/less a norm now.  We seem to take them numbly but with no good feelings.  Who is happy to see these?  For the crimes, we witness / experience break-in /burglary,  car theft, stealing, cheating, killing,  robbery, ……………happening almost every day.  Why?  Why?  Why?
I believe in some ill and bad reasons behind them.   I believe in honest and sincere effort from our leaders to gather, sort out, analyse and resolve the problems, at least, reduce them to its minimum.  Now let’s take a look at those who are well-behaved, well-disciplined and self-willed.  Why are these people so positive (+) and why are those so negative (--)?  Take some effort to find out.  Let’s do it together to help them.  Let’s discuss it together.  Get professionals to talk about this.
Do you agree with me when our teenagers go astray, the real cause is up to the lack of parental guidance, love  family conditions, social environment and the bad influence from bad friends and the like.  These teenagers would turn into criminals in the course of time if not checked properly.
I believe in setting up community service centres everywhere to help, guide, direct and engage them in constructive and creative activities.  Get them to commit themselves to some activities like sports, games, handicraft, dancing, singing, chess playing, giving tuition, learning cookery, baking, chess playing, reading, writing ……………..  Start now!  Let these community service centres be the place where parents are willing and feel grateful for the help.
I believe in having parks / recreational areas for teenagers to dispense their energies.   Always demarcate an area in the place where there are about 50 houses for children and teenagers to go during their free time.   Look, if our teenagers are guided, helped, engaged and directed properly,  who will still go astray?    I believe in mind-focus that rules a person to good / bad behaviour.
It is mind-focus that decides all.
For those engaged in crimes, catch them, jail them and train them with some skills,  find jobs for them and list them in contact.  There should be regular check up on them to make sure that they are still on the job or find job for them again.  I think our whole society should be prepared to give this assistance and for this understanding so that nobody is wasted in anyway.  An individual will find life meaningful and interesting and so is happy.
The feeling of happiness will generate good force for the good of everybody.  When a person plunges to his /er death, this will only generate negative and bad force that brings curses to everyone.  Ponder on this!
