Sarawak now recognises Unified Examination Certificate

KUCHING: In a landmark policy change, the Sarawak Government has decided to recognise the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC).

The recognition will apply to the state civil service, university and Sarawak Foundation (Yayasan Sarawak) scholarships.

The only requirement is that UEC applicants must score at least a credit in Bahasa Malaysia in SPM. UEC is the Chinese independent school qualification equivalent *to STPM.

SUPP president Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian made the stunning announcement Monday following the party's UEC task force meeting.
He told reporters Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem had given him the greenlight to make the announcement.

Dr Sim was quoted as saying that Adenan said that since the Federal Government was "too slow" (in making a decision), the state will go ahead and recognise UEC.

Dr Sim added technical issues would be worked out with Universiti  Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), University College of Technology Sarawak, and the Sarawak campuses of Swinburne University of Technology and Curtin University. Except for Unimas, the Sarawak government has stakes in all the universities.

As for UEC holders who enter the state civil service, they would be placed under the Employees' Provident Fund rather than the pension scheme.

In an immediate reaction, Board of Management for Kuching Chung Hua Middle Schools No 1, 3 and 4 chairman Richard Wee called the decision "historical".

"I did not expect the announcement this morning. This is something that will make Sarawak a little bit different. It relates to Adenan saying he wants our autonomy to be recognised.

"Going forward, I hope it will give impetus to other states, and eventually, the Federal Government to recognise UEC nationwide," Wee said.

My comments:

Ng……Ng Adenan has proved himself in deeds.  His actions, no doubt, speak louder than his words.  He has realised our dream to have UEC recognised.

He is indeed our legitimate Chief Minister.  He leads by good and positive deeds showering on us.  On behalf of all the Chinese, yound and old, I say, “We love you， CM!” from our hearts and souls.

The CM who knows the needs of Sarawakians and has proved himself in deeds to fulfill is our legitimate CM indeed.

Adenan说明年才会选举。这次选举，我希望人民是趋向更成熟。看人看党/看人不看党。又怎样，只要不让国阵得[渔翁之利] 都行，应该多多考量独立人士，只要他们是民主真代表。我们人民就要好好的考虑。拒绝任何中央集权。中央集权是民主的绊脚石。人民代议市就是人民的代言人处处要为人民把关。不是像现在处处以霸权为主为中心。为霸权做事霸凌人民。

我对Najib的诚信完全没有一点丁的信心。所以他说权力下放给砂沙两地，我是100% 质疑这权力下放的分量和范围。这个人的诚信是至于口号和文字，执行日期慢慢等吧。中央集权是向自己和民主倒粪便的行为。 Najib的言行举止都是以[1]为主。1MDB就是最好的证明。这[一]是横行无耻和无止的。

所以在短短6年多，这公司就举债4百多亿。这[1]切都是权力全集[1]身。这是Dr M的杰作。把财长这职位和首相结合于[1]身。这是制造[天下以自己为尊]的[私路和死路]。纳吉是更疯狂的玩得[不亦乐乎]。在这过程，信誉[扫地]， 完全不自知。还到处寻[挺顶人]支持他。好像爪牙也不少呢

我希望Adenan Satem懂得如何争取回咱们砂人非傻人的权益。如果有必要[脱离]。我是100%支持 。这样我们可以自主[一切] 不必那么辛苦的去[争取，争取。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。] 自己的税金。 行政，经济，文教，基本建设发展处处不到位。我相信很多砂人非傻人都想自主[一切]非[1切自肥的巫统]。

S4S公投已经开始了。我昨天已经去签名支持。这组织希望在12月之前能收集30万签名。我猜可以收集何只30万。有关心Sarawak的人，都有那[脱离联邦]的愿景。这52年+的参与是输数。够了吧！Najib 说联邦要权利下放，他们愿意下放多大和多少？ 哼。。。。我只希望Sarawakians 能很团结一致公投表态。

大家千万加万万不要让红杉军的各种没素质的言语困扰而忘了1MDB的追讨和探究。不管这一群怎样。这只不过是一群素质和素养都不高的无聊分子。种族Vs经济，种族的市场就是那一小圈子。要生存做生意，种族主义者根本没有站住的地方。 有本事的话，只卖/买食品/产品自己种族的人，看看。谁负担得起？

整天口喊[特权和权利]的人，我的劝导就是好好去学门手艺，好好发挥自己。不要为无聊的事再浪费时间了。 不要被自己的领袖[牵着鼻子/头发走]。 去除[崇拜领袖]的心理，学习独立思考。看那一族，还高举旗帜大喊大叫。看起来跟流氓完全是一样的。也很像暴民。对这些人，我要表达就是[厌恶]。

要提升个人/整体的准严就是要透过学术，技术和手艺去修练和锻炼而成为一个/一群令人佩服武艺高深的人。素养不高，武艺不行，硬来抢出位。这是违反定律，行不通的。这就是Allah的奥秘。这世间就是没有捷径。在人生要有成就就是要一步一脚印努力不懈的去累积经验和历程。尊严不是靠喊叫获得的。真的。

Will Zahid Hemidi take action against the leaders of Red Shirt organiser  seditiously saying to eliminate the Chinese vernacular schools for good.

916 Red Shirt rally is widely believed to be well supported by UMNO to counteract the widespread support of the Chinese in the Bersih 4.0 rally.

It is a self-destructive behaviour and like pouring the pooh over their own heads carrying the banner disgustly emblazoned with the words“Hapuskan  SJKC”.

I believe noble and good Malays comprising 99.9% will not feel at ease with these low, mean bratty thugs.  These rascals only bring shame and humiliation to themselves.
