“Sarawak should also be world class state---PKR info chief”  (The Borneo Post   Fri. 21/2/2014)
Ya!  “We have the wealth, we have the resources and we will hopefully have the foreign investors.  Now, Sarawakians expect an equally acceptable ROI (Return on Investment)  on all these mega-projects that are being touted by the state government.”   ------- Vernon Aji Kedit
From what I know about the infrastructure facilities like school buildings, jetties,  bridges, roads, public transport system……………  everywhere in Sarawak can be described as shamefully deplorable.  Having world class industries in the state is indeed laudable.  But without the matching infrastructure facilities to go with,  these defects  will bring down these world class industries in no time.
Hurry up to improve and upgrade these basic facilities.   The 33-years of negligence and abuse under Taib Mahmud and the BN government as a whole have downgraded the state to such  appalling, disheartening and disappointing and depressing  conditions.  It is time they should accelerate the work to catch up and match up to the required standard.
Is it too much to ask for “8-land carriage that cuts across from Lundu to Limbang, straight as the Kenyalang fliesfrom south to north” to be called Kenyalan Highway?     Ng…….”build turn-offs to other cities and town and smaller urban centres so that the rural interior can be opened up and have world class access to urban centres .  This will automatically create a domino effect of bringing development to the interior.”
If everyone stands up like Vernon Aji Kedit,  our dream to have world –class basic facilities can be fulfilled as soon as expected.   Do you dare to dream and that is the question?
Ya ,  like what Vernon implored we also want world-class hospitals and clinics in every city, town and district,  why not?    Did the state government know that many rural people died from lack of healthcare based on the statistics?   It has reached the alarming level.
I  also agree with him that “education is paramount” and should be considered as the foundation of national building (建国之本).    Ya , as what he says “besides  school buildings and dormitories but also  the facilities and the staff needed to uplift the standard of education“
I really feel sad and disheartening to see the authorities concerned adopting the lackadaisical /tiada apa attitude towards the plead of the head of Sarawak Teachers’ Union to train more local teachers .  It is a curse to the BN government.   They need to be challenged and threatened by the PR party to do their work.  I hope 2016 we people in one heart and mind should teach the BN government a good lesson
The fourth thing Vernon mentioned is to have  the bullet train like that in Japan,  why not?   Our rivers, big and small, are getting more dangerous and less efficient as a result of dams around in the state.   Do we not have enough fatal ferry and boat accidents to demand for a good rail transport system?
Don’t you feel ashamed to boast about having RM22billion in the reserve when the infrastructure facilities everywhere in Sarawak are so shamefully appalling and deplorable?    I hope Adenan has the quality of the chief minister to really care for the wellbeing and welfare of Sarawakians.  Don’t behave like Taib Mahmud who is the emblem of greed and shame to us all.
Ng .........it is important to develop the human capital.  There are so many Sarawakians with the skills and expertise working overseas.   With the job opportunities,  I believe they will be lured to come home.  I agree with him that  “Sarawakians in the state, especially in the civil service could be trained abroad or by world class professionals to help the state develop its human capital.“
I really feel sorry that many people who can be trained to become a better and more skilful persons have gone to waste.  Instead of making furniture, some as reported focused their minds on making guns.   Timber has been one of the most important exports in Sarawak , however,  furniture industry is not well-developed in Sarawak.  What a shame!  Nowadays,  it is getting harder for the locals to get good quality timber!  Is it not true?
Ya, nothing within human reach is impossible if there is “ a political will, there is a way”.  It is idiotic to say it is impossible  when you have not even tried yet.  For the past 33 years Taib Mahmud and his cronies are too negative-minded and self-serving minded to do the work well.  I hope Adenan is more assertive, people-centred, -minded and friendly.   Ya, Adenan has 2 years to go before the state election in 2016.

“Native English Speaker Mentoring Programme improves proficiency of teachers ”    (The Borneo Post  26/3/2014).  I wonder how native English speaker mentoring programme improves proficiency of teachers when the teachers do not read much.    A language can only be upgraded through a lot of reading and language use.
