5/Aug/2013
Ben Ali of Tunisia; Hosni Mubarak of Egypt;   late Gaddafi of Libya;  late Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines;  late Suharto of Indonesia…………….

The bad habits like drug taking,  smoking, drinking and prostituting that require no skills to  kill a person.    The good habits that require great skills and a lot of hard work to acquire so well occupy a person that s/he has no space for vices that can kill.

A great sales of cars

A great sales of cars
It is said that there are 600,000 / more cars sold out nationally yearly.   It is no doubt a grand and great sales of cars to boast about though it is at the expense of the public without considering the real need of the people .   Car loans definitely turn our male and female drivers  pale at times.
I wonder how long the road in KM is built nationally annually to cater the ever increasing number of cars on the road.  I do not travel much and so I can only observe the conditions in Sibu and the information I gather through mass media to understand the plights of other places far and near.  And I believe the situation is more / less the same with the limited extension of the road in  length and width in KM.
Traffic jam has become a nightmare to beat daily and it is indeed a big trial to road users’ patience.  It is terrible and horrible to see more and more cars on the road.  It is terrifying and horrifying to know about 16 fatal deaths daily in average, not to say how many go paralysed in car accidents.  Our crowned political clowns are blaming reckless road users all the time for the high rate of road accidents without thinking of the needs to improve the road conditions and improve the public transport to counteract the menace.
The ambition to boost the ailing car industry has been done at the expense of the public transport  that I see it as one of the fatal spots that can kill the BN government at one stroke if they still continue without improving their skills.   There is no valid reason for the allocations to support  a business to continue at a loss all the time.  Without setting a guidelines and restrictions what a waste of resources to upkeep this White Elephant.  I believe this is not a stale topic we harp on so often that it is time to ditch out the wasteful industry though it is face losing to many people in many ways.
No car drivers, male / female are not upset about the sales of the car at about half the price more  in the homeland than that  about half the price less in the overseas market.   People are not fools to endure this irrational practice not to revolt.   It is not the tricks or lies that PR coalition tries  to coax and woo people to turn their backs against the BN government.
It is the abusive, corrupt, foolish and irresponsible actions and behaviours of the crowned BN political clowns that really detest and disgust people to the extremes/ to the core.   In a nutshell, people hate the BN political thugs  “ into the bone”.   In Chinese, it is 恨之入骨(hen zhi ru gu)。  We really do not need any PR leaders to pester / insinuate/ instigate/ incite /invoke to get into this intense state of hate.
Yes, many people feel like being plundered/pillaged to let go of this hatred, exasperation and frustration.   308 and 505/SOS are the symbolic rituals we perform collectively with our determination to flush out the BN government for good.  It is no doubt people’s tsunami though the Chinese appeared being the greatest and most overwhelming in the whole process of waves.   It is not a tell-tale or a whale tale to tell.  You will see the greater and greater surging of these waves in the course of time until………………..
It is definitely not a good sign to have as many as 2 or 3 / more cars in a house.  Most city /suburban dwellers who have to travel more than  a mile to work are forced to buy cars.  There are no good pedestrian walks to encourage walking to the workplace / school.   Many parents drive their children to school  which are situated a distance away.  Hence traffic jam has become a frustrating norm in life.
About 20% of the adult population are just too poor to learn and own a motorcycle.  They just cannot afford to live too far from the town centre.  About 20% of the adult population are only able to access motorcycles which still ranks No. 1 in fatal road accidents.  About 20% have to portion at least 40% of their income for the car instalments.  About 20% have to fork out at least 30% of their income.  The Chinese being the most urbanised creatures on earth, without doubt, face the debt of car loans besides shouldering the housing loans.
It is not surprising to me at all that the household debts run up to 80+% in most Chinese families.  Whom should we blame for this disaster?  I think not many do not know and not curse.
Imagine how angry a person becomes being caught in the traffic jam.   The public transport service is just terrible in Sibu / everywhere in Sarawak.  A week or so ago, my friend who was quite seriously attacked in an incidence asked her son to take a bus home and he had to wait an hour for the bus to come.   Can you imagine how frustrating he was?  My friend could only afford a motorcycle and she has involved in the car accidents at least 3 times up to now.  Each time she had to be brought to the hospital for treatment.  If we had a good transport system, she would have avoided all these ordeals and would have saved a lot of time for other things.
The sales of 600,000 / more cars are achieved at the expense of the mass.  If we had a good system of public transport,  who would be so stupid to drive around to be caught in traffic jams and fork out so much for car instalments and maintenance?    Ng…………….. poor public transport is definitely one of the fatal spots that the BN government has to deal with in urgency or ………………………….

Impossible to operate

Dear Chairman and Friends,  2August 2013
Impossible to operate
On behalf of the shop-operators  in Sibu, I plead you not to impose such restriction that no tables are allowed to go 3 feet beyond the shops proper.  For other businesses, it may be possible but for  coffee shop operators, it is really impoooooooossible for the shop with 20’ X 50’/60’ in measurement.  It is understood that a coffee usually has so many stalls in operation at the same time and so there is limited space to put all the tables and chairs  in the shop.
Lately, I looked around to check and see the possibility if doing business as announced by SMC (Sibu Municipal Council).   I think our SMC Chairman and officers are out of touch of the reality and too much one-sided power to impose the rule.  I am afraid this will cause a big impact on the coffee shop operators whom I know face keen competition.  It is not people-centred, minded and friendly practices.
Don’t act abusive, please.   People pay for your salary and you take such a high position which I believe many eye it with so much desire .  Act wisely,   please if you still think the seat of SMC Chairman as a worthy position.  It will do you no good if you still insist in such an authoritative way.  We all know that you are disappointed /not happy for not being elected as a Parliamentary Member.  This is a Democratic country by law and so people have the rights to decide whom to choose to be our representatives.
Don’t force people to take law in their hands and act violent.  Don’t take my words as threat.    My words may sound harsh / unpleasant but this is the truth you face up to to stay on that position.
