英文水平如何涨？

如何提升学生英文水平？      19/6/2012

          这是[你怎么说/What say you 16/6/2013] 主题。 我本来不要再gaboh 了因为大家都知道了而且还很清楚要如何提升学生英文水平。 可是， 我还是按纳不住自己，还要很不客气地要刺扎那些还在那边做梦/游玩/随意作业/霸权的意愿的耍弄。。。。

          哎呀！五月五，换不了政府，虽然大家心中都有了谱，很清楚了：[旧的不去；新的不来]。因此，大家还得要再忍受五年，那老格调，老patterns,  老做法，老习惯，老话重复再重复，老事还是一样又一样。。。。。。英文水平还是一样一直往下泻；没起色。 英文语法，华文语法， 马来文语法，方言语法。。。。。。都很混合参杂在一起用，乱成一团。因为我们教材本来就没有跨语言对比和区别，也没连贯，都很各自为政， 盲目也很努力/懒惰的学着。因此都怪学3种语言，总觉得学太多的关系，才会如此混乱参杂。 很rojak, 很够味。 Who cares?  薪水照拿，吃喝玩乐水准还是那么高高调调进行着。 过着悠悠哉哉的人生。

          要提升学生英文水平，以我有必要先提升教育部各个官爷们。 教育系统真的有必要全面的整顿 以挽救频临[完蛋]的教育。教育办的那么，那么，那么的没水准和随便。  连累校长，老师，学生，家长，老板，社会人士，。。。。。也很浪费资源。 [物没有尽其用；人没有尽其才]， 一切只有霸权的动机，安排和议程。 [教育的理念和宗旨吗？ 是什么？值多少钱？]   

          As’ 成绩才是硬道理。 只有As’才可以[迎/赢来]掌声和赞美和好处和礼物。  如何达到As’ 成绩， 不必计较太多。  只要可以拿到As’ 成绩：管他是填鸭/鸡/鹅/火鸡的方式获得。 对知识的认知，管他懂/不懂。 因此，我们教育沦落到今天如此，不堪入眼/耳/言的地步，是有原因的。  跟我们的[领头羊]的[领导有方/ 无方]息息相关。

         就这样和那样，我们的教育让大家除了官爷们外，都很辛苦。让学子们很无聊，很烦， 很纳闷，很无奈，很坐立不安（restless），很没意思，。。。。.让老师们很困难，很尴尬，很无助，很无奈， 很无聊，很没意思，压力非常大，很沉重，很[有心无力]，对[因才施教]的理念只有有空时，偷偷想一想而已，常常叹息[天生我才必有/没用在施教也]。。。。。。。。.   让校长很慌张，天天都在那里数分数：到底今年会有多少学生会拿As’ 让学校发光发亮， 不然就要面对教育部[有完没完]的发难和骚扰, 真是校长难为也。   

        做父母 的成天也是为了儿女的As’成绩漫无目的忙到昏头转向，不知如何是[好]；也不知什么是[坏]。  像[着魔似](under the spell)的。 大家不管儿女能/不能都推他们： 像无头houseflies 冲向As’/好成绩。 结果， 很多人都跌的[头破血流]，[身心灵]都很受伤。 让那些做老板的也很难， 请来的员工， 好像[三问，n不知]。 留着要做很多改良的工作；解雇他/她，再找人谁知道/天/地知道会/不会还是一样的/更糟？ 除了学识，也参考其他的条件，再考慮解/不解雇了。

     读了kindergarten 两年， 小学6 年，中学5-8 年和大学3/4 年，英文还是不达标。 这怎么一回事啊？ 哦！原来，小学，地基打不好，语法一团糟；语音也华，巫和英大混杂。汉音/巫音都英用；小，中学英文涉及范围很有限，除了英文作业外，没有广泛/范阅读其他读物。 没有英文语法和语音地基的。到了大学/没有上大学的，英文水平是或高/低一点，只有单字的认知论高低；语法和语音大概都不分上下。 这一群的学生应该占有90%。 

     有10%的英文会[好]很多的，肯定有语法和语音的基础训练和接触。这10%的人有一直阅读英文读物和应用。 要学好一种语言，大家都知道的事：多听，多阅读，多说和多写。 学语言，有捷径吗？ 会讲第一/二种语言的人都很清楚和肯定: 没有听和阅读的输入；就没有说和写的输出。 对于聋瞎的朋友们，他们有一套输入法去学语言。 对第二种语言的学习，大家要更多的努力和更用心的。 这是个人可以去做的。

      很可惜，我们教育整体上没有办好，因此90% 的学子花了13-16年的光阴，没有打好语言的基础：语法和语音。 字词（vocabulary）的学习是无限的，因此，要用一生的光阴去学习。要终生学习。 即使，文字方面的学习，学校 是否有概念那些文字是在这13-16年里（kindergarten 2年；小学6年；中学5-8年有读[过渡班]和[Form six]的）一定会学到的。  怎么去学到这些文字的。 就硬硬来背字典里的单字？ 还是透过很有意思的故事，有趣又有启迪性的文章/题材，教材，各种媒体等等去学习呢？ 听说[Oh,my English]这节目做得很好。 为什么不在英文课连线学。 这学校要放胆去做。

        为什么我们的教育不能办得像[学术五剑客：悠悠狄声] 梁文狄 写的[讲故事谈教育]〔诗华日报16/6/2013）中的很活的，很有生命力的，很活泼的， 很有启发性的，很有创意的。。。。。。进行。 皆大欢喜的学习。 学习一种语言Why and why????.  要跟[分数]打成[纠缠不清的死结]。 哎呀！

        为了As’ 成绩， 我们大家都被耍弄到[焦头烂额]而[不能自己]， 结果，又到处不到岸， 何苦啊？ 来，来，来大家一起来想如何来破解As’成绩 的魔咒先来[自救]。 要破解As’成绩的魔咒，我们的父母们肯定要先修炼好，不看[As’成绩] 只理[天生我才必有用]。我家的阿庆，阿心，阿九，Ali, Ahmad, Samy, Tutulu, Halituntun，阿妹，阿迪。。。。个别的兴趣和能力在哪里。我们该怎样栽培他们才是最理想的，可以发挥最亮/良的。  这失衡的[学校教育]， 如果你们再花费那么，那么，那么多的心神时间和力气去争[那没尺寸的 长短]，你们会非常，非常， 非常的失望和难过的。

         这时代， 我们可以做到多少，就多少。 还有其他的，只好等好时辰，从新整顿[救救他人]。  这样我们大家才可以一起向前进。  这样我们才有[和乐]可言。 大家肯定都会认同[独乐乐，不如众乐乐]，国泰民安才可能实现。 天堂在/不在人间，从教育开始。 这可要靠大家一起来创造啊！。

Bus Services in Sibu

“Many people still use bus service”

        Maimunah Yusuf and Hazwan,  bus commuters, plead for a better bus services.  They speak on behalf of the poor people in Sibu who cannot afford a car.  Maimunah Yusuf asks for a “revamp and revival of bus services that have been terminated”

         “some services must be revived for those who cannot afford their own car or services such as taxis,” said public transport user, Hazwan.

     He urged the authority to look into the shortage of bus services, the routes to be covered, and look into the bus fare.

        “Buses must be modernized for the safety and comfort of passengers,” he suggested.

        Maimunah Yusuf, 30 from Kampung Bahagia Jaya, Teku urged the authority not to forget the poor who still depend on public transport.

      “Think of school students.  Those staying  in the kampong or far from town need the bus to take them to school and back.”

        “The bus fares must be reasonable for them as well, ” she said.

        She complained that town bus services here had been reduced which is depriving those who still need them.

        “Do not stop the service but upgrade and restructure the operation,” she urged.

        I don’t know how many times the poor and not so poor / a bit rich people have to go on begging the authority to pay due attention on their needs of proper and comfortable public transport.  Please don’t neglect them and don’t wait until people carry the banners to protest in the mass demonstration. 

        Be responsible, people-centric and –minded, please.

I hope all the PR representatives will bring this issue to the attention of the Federal and State Assemblies about this need.

What is integrity?

The word “integrity “ based on the definition in the dictionary means “strength and firmness of character, principles; honesty that can be trusted; state of wholeness and completeness”.  It is an intangible asset.  If a person wants to acquire this virtue.  That means he has to practise to acquire it.  It is about what you have done to show this quality.  It is the action that speaks whether you have this quality or not.  In other words, it is to “walk your talk”.  That means your action matches your talk.  Your action and talk are in accord.  That’s it.

           It is through practice to acquire the integrity quality.  It is like a language to be acquired when you practise it.  Each time when you practise the value, you acquire the amount.

Of course, first, we must know What it is.  Then you must be Convinced of its value and Why you must live up to this value in life.  If you don’t care much about the value of integrity, you can’t expect respect from others.  As we know “Respect is earned, not bought with a lot of food, money and gifts.”

        If you don’t care much about the value of integrity, you don’t expect people to take you seriously.  What you speak, people treat you like a dog “pow-bowing and howling”. 

        If you don’t care much about the value of integrity and yet you are so obsessive with the value and even signs the integrity pledge every now and then to assure others you care, you are digging your own grave and showcase of your weaknesses, grotesque and badness even more. 

        Practising the value of integrity as many people agree is a habit to acquire since small.  It can be frustrating and exasperating to see the abusive, autocratic, corrupt, depotistic, nepotistic, crowned political clowns without integrity at all to blare and declare so much before you.

君子爱才取之有道，不剥/掠夺他人自肥。  利人利己共赢才有和乐，乐和一起向前进。 聚集不义之财于一身会带给儿孙无限灾难。

               

How much wealth must a person posses to say and think “I have enough”?  How much wealth must a person amass to feel “happy”?  How high income should each person attain to catch up with the spiral hike of house prices?  How long can our crowned political clowns go clowning without attending to the needs of the people?   

Wu---arh, Taib Mahmud who has RM632+billion has about  2 times more wealth than that of Murdoch Rupert, a media mogul.   Taib Mahmud who had been minister for 18+ years and has been Chief Minister of Sarawak for 32+ years to date has amassed so much wealth..
