RM400million

400 million allocation funds                   17Dec2012
Did you know that we Sarawakians get 400 million allocation funds annually from the federal government for road repairs and upgrading?   Ask Yong Khoon Seng, the MP, who is the deputy of the Public Works Department whether it is true / not.  I got the news from the Borneo Post (I’m sorry for not being able to quote the date and the page here.)  It was disclosed by MP Yong Khoon Seng. I wonder how long we have been given this much for the purpose.
It is said that the allocation is RM23,000 per kilometre for the state roads and RM31,000 per kilometre for the federal roads.  Have the funds been used properly / a large portion of it been embezzled?  God knows, the earth knows, the person knows and those who partake in it know.  It is MP Yong Khoon Seng’s motto “4 knows” that prevented him from becoming mischievous.  I believe he is one of the few MPs who are clean and clear in the BN government.
Each time when I see patches of repairs here and there / upgrading of the road , I often wonder how much has been written off.  The ministers and those high ranking officers in JKR/ Public Works Department should know best.  I wonder why there are so many roads that I see are in such deplorable conditions.   Some roads I use to know the conditions; some I learn / know about them through newspaper reports and some by the words of mouth.  It was reported that {Miri-Marudi road stretch a muddy mess}.  (The Borneo Post).  What a shame to see such a deplorable road condition.  I hope everybody  knows whom to curse and condemn for their plights.  I do not know whether Taib Madmud and his cronies know about it or not.  Have they been doing their work?   What a shame!
MP Yong Khoon Seng {Don’t jump to conclusions blindly---Deputy minister} (22Oct2012, The Borneo Post)  advises the public to read the Auditor-Gereral’s Report properly before concluding who is responsible for the shortcomings outlined in the report.  It is the practice of work in “the dark box”.  Who cares to know how much has been written off for the repair / upgrading and the quality?  Who is there to check them?  Corruption and collusion takes place because they have the conducive environment to do so.  If our chief minister does so, why can’t the rest?  After all, it is always not much in comparison with so-and-so.  Hence I do not know how many % of RM400 millions go to the chief minister’s, ministers’ and high ranking officials’ personal accounts at the expense of the mass.
In another report, Tan Sri Michael Manyin,{State PWD rectifying weaknesses identified in AG’s Report}, (6Nov2012) also admitted the problem of corruption and collusion.  Hence the deplorably poor conditions that we have in Sarawak are due to the misappropriation of allocation funds.  Therefore, do not blame the opposition party / PR when  people about-turn to support them.  Be prepared to face the hard facts of people in groups, troops, herds, swarms, …….to support PR for a change of government.  Believe me 70% of Sarawakians know whom to support for their own good.
How I wish I could travel near and far to observe and study all the road conditions in Sarawak.  How I wish everybody would be the “eyes” to see and tell one another about the road conditions where they use.  How I wish everyone would check the account each time when there is any repair / upgrading.  It is only through everybody’s / everyone’s participation, it is possible to curb and prevent corruption and collusion from taking place.
It is horrible and terrible to know that Taib Mahmud who is the Chief Minister of Sarawak but also the Finance Minister.  He has become too authoritative for the practice of democracy.  People say he has amassed astronomical ill-gotten wealth by hook / crook in his 35 years in office.

Stop bluffing

Stop bluffing                              9DEC2012
“Urban voters turning to BN due to transformation programmes -----Dr Rundi”  (4December12, Home, The Borneo Post).  Is Dr Rundi dreaming to believe that it is true?  Well, it is not wrong to give yourself “confidence and hope” as such.  I don’t know whether Dr Rundi has heard of the Chinese master monk, Shin Yun who says to Give—4 to others to gain more for yourself.  The 4s-to give are “Confidence, Convenience, Hope and Happiness ”.  How much have the BN government led by Taib Mahmud and his cronies at the state level or Najib and his cronies at the federal government done for the good, well-being and welfare of the people everywhere in Sarawak or Malaysia?
Now I would like Taib Mahmud and his cronies and Najib and his cronies to see the harsh facts to assess and evaluate the support of the people for the BN government after 49 years of federation and 35 years supporting Taib Mahmud and and his cronies (emblem of curse and shame).  Go around to poll to see who is not shocked and exasperated at the appalling school hostel condition in the report “Packed like sardines!” (Nothing has been done to a primary school in Belaga near one year after its hostel collapsed, injuring 18 pupils – five seriously)  (5December2012, Front page, The Borneo Post).  What is more urgent than this to delay this urgent matter after ONE year and it still has not dealt with?  What a curse and what a shame to see procrastination and abuse of the BN government to the poor and helpless people in the rural areas.
The headmaster claimed that the picture with the title “Packed like sardines”, the room was actually the computer room which was used for the afternoon nap.  But it is not so convincing as it just looks really appalling.  If it were a rest-room for an afternoon nap, it should look better than this.  It is not nice, we know, but it is really not good to cover up for the sake of those irresponsible political thugs and leaders.
Why should many privileged ones like Taib Mahmud and his cronies enjoy heavenly life at the expense of the the pupils at Punan Ba in Belaga who suffer the hell on earth here?  I wonder how the five primary school girls who sustained serious injuries fare on now.  Have they been compensated properly for life?  What about those 13 who were injured not so seriously?
Tell us and everybody and the whole-wide world what has happened in reality though we hear daily how good our BN government is in the air.  They bluff and bluff in the mass media to advertise to uphold their goodness in words only.   They always sound so good and so good but fail readily in almost every aspect in the delivery of the services and facilities.  Nowadays, more and more people like me only believe in things which has been implemented in reality and in practice.  What is said in the mass media, after all, is just words to read and know and in the air.   It is only when these words can be realised in life to be deemed as true and real.    It is the age when “Seeing is believing.”  (no more hearing is believing).
“Other school in the same boat”  (SK Punan Ba not the only being neglected – many other schools also facing similar harsh condition)  (6DEC2012, The Borneo Post).  I think every individual in the areas plighted with such inhuman problems like these should shriek and shrill to call for the mass attention  and demand for justification.  Don’t be so docile in face of injustice.  In a nutshell,  be aggressive for immediate attention and services for such urgent and vital matter.  Just think of how much money go to waste in other activities like upgrading the image of BN government or projects which serve little purpose.  It is abusive for not giving matters like providing good hostel and other basic facilities for the rural communities immediate attention and treatment.  I think the ministers and the high ranking officials dealing with Punan Ba should bow and leave the post for good.
Well……..stop being fooled by those political thugs and hyena-like leaders.  Record their promises and check how many have been realised to see and touch and facilitate your life.  So, think N times before you cast your vote for BN / PR.  Be wise!  This is my most sincere advice for our own good and the true spirit of democracy.

Awareness / Unawareness

Awareness / Unawareness
Whose responsibility / fault………?                             6/12/12
Whose responsibility / fault for such  heavy floods in Marudi in November, 2012?  It was like Sibu before 2011  in Sarawak.  Who is the representative / Minister who cares for the well-being and welfare of Marudi?  There are so many ministers representing the state / national but who really cares for the suffering of the Marudi people / Marudians.  After winning the election, the representatives have just disappeared just as what we witness in general.
How many times Marudiams have to be inundated before the people there see the actions taken to mitigate floods?  How much losses Marudians have to suffer to wake up the BN government led by Taib Mahmud and his cronies?  Or is it the business of the federal government led by Najib and his cronies?  I wonder how low the land is to be flooded like Sibu once before 2011.  We Sibuans faced the floods of different natures for at least 15-16 years until some actions really taken.  We Sibuans really showed our contempt towards BN government and we expressed ourselves properly in the state elections in 2006 and 2010.
Najib is greedy for every vote for the BN government and wants two-thirds majority win.  But how when the people face the woes of floods and many problems like education, medical services, public transport system, road system……….. since time immemorial and the floods they face are getting worse and worse.  What has gone wrong with the BN government?  What have Najib and the UMNO members discussed for the good of us people besides word after word and word to word condemning the opposition pact?  How can we expect such leaders with such mentality to deal with such problems we people face?  Majority of the Malaysians voted for them for over 55 years in the federal level.  Thus many such problems have persisted for as many years as such.
Where is Baram?  Is it low-lying or high lying?  Why is Baram flooded like this and that like Sibu once?  Come……… to Sibu to study and investigate or discuss with those who got a lot of knowledge of floods.  Look, when Marudi, Baram, Miri …………flood whenever there is  down pour for a few hours, Sibu after 2011 does not flood easily.  Why?  Find out yourselves.  It is only through individual awareness and participation and concern that flood-free will become possible easily.  You have to identify the causes in order to remedy the situations.  Think of the nature of water and how it flows to solve the problem.
Shahrizat whose hushand turned the funds meant for the cattle rearing business for other investment to gain.  She is another demon and hyenas-like BN leader who knows not what shame means to say that “Malays should have half of the wealth of the country.“  (See Hua Daily News)  Like possessed by Mahathir/Dr. M (ex-PM who held the office for 22+ years), she wants to whip up the racial sentiments of many ignorant and innocent Malays who often cannot find a proper road to reach the town to sell their produce for some cash.  Like Mahathir, Shahrizat wants to the support these Malays as she declared she was prepared to run for the candidacy in the 13th general election.   In the name of Malays, these demon-like leaders had fooled Malays for so long and so much.  It is very clear she has not  learnt the lesson from 308.  She thinks she still can fool them on and on in the name of Malays not knowing that many and many have broken the spell.   Heeee…………………………
Many and many natives / Malays in Sarawak want a proper system of road, medical services, better school facilities, good drainage system, de-monopolising of the resources held by Taib Mahmud and his cronies and the related consortiums ………….  We want true practice of democracy for the good the people in general.

The Mentality of........

The mentality of………….                                 4Nov2012
Why is our beloved state, Sarawak, 20+ years behind Peninsular Malaysia, our colonial power?  My affirmed answers are, for sure, because of the poor, lousy, apathetic, self-denial and lackadaisical attitudes of our representatives.  Besides, our chief ministers especially Taib Mahmud and his cronies have not been doing their work.  They are too indulgent and self-interest minded to care about the proper and good  development of the state.
So, “Difficult to maintain roads, drains in Sibu ------Tiong”  (Tuesday, 30Oct2012, Home, The Borneo Post).  How can we expect improvement to have the representatives like Tiong Thai King?  That is why for years at least 16 years, we constant faced floods, small ones, medium ones and big ones all the time.  And our representatives like late Robert Lau, Tiong Thai King, Wong  Soon Koh……………told us continuously that it was because our beloved town, Sibu was in low-lying area to beat the floods.
Many Ah Gou and Ah Mau Sibuans like under hypnosis or spell.   They believed so.  Until one after another became enlightened and aware that water forever and ever flows downwards.  It is forever and ever possible to channel the mass of water properly with some proper actions to be taken.  Hence, we roared up and down in anger for being betrayed, tricked and cheated for so long.  We expressed our anger in the 2006 state election and in the 2010 state election, we were even fiercer and more daring.  70% of the people as far as I have observed have broken off being tethered by their leaders.  They have adopted independent and critical attitudes towards their leaders and different policies.
Hence many people like me started to find out the reasons for floods in Sibu which after all is not so low-lying below water-level like Holland. Why was it flooded like Holland?  We discovered that it was due to the poor drainage and we had identified the causes for them and forced them to take actions to mitigate floods.  Our chief ministers, ministers and high ranking officials had not been doing their work properly.  With so much uproar and down-roar,  they were finally forced to some actions.  Hence, we do not see floods like those we saw before 2011.  They have resolved about 60% of the woes of flood in Sibu.  When it rains, I still see the rise of water ‘Kopi-coloured’  the stagnated water in the monsoon drains.  For the water, “Teh tarik” in colour, it is the spilling over of the water from the Rejang River.  We learnt these facts through sincere and honest observations for our own good for the improvement of our beloved town, Sibu.
For roads, well…………… is Sibu so peaty as claimed by our representatives / ministers?  Like floods, they have also intrigued me so much so that I was prompted to investigate.  Being a very curious and inquisitive person, I set out to study all those tall and tall buildings in Sibu.  Of course, the first building came to mind was Wisma Sanyan, one of the important landmarks in Sibu.  When was it built?  ………built in 199?.  Is the building 10+.  I have no idea.  How many floors does it have?  I have no idea, either.  But I know it is a very tall and tall building.  Is it the tallest building in Sibu?  I am not sure.  But one thing I am sure is that it is still standing tall and straight.  It is not tilt at all like Pica Tower in Italy (?).  Why (waI/ hwaI)?
I hope Tiong Thai King will answer for us.  Then he will understand why the row of the low-cost, single-storey-terraced houses at Lane 3 along Jalan Poh Yew, Sibu, Sarawak that collapsed a week ago.  Alamat! What a curse!  What a pity!  What a shame!  But those poor Ah Gous and Ah Maus still do not know who are to blame for their plights.  These people have been treated as fools because they have behaved like………….. so, so, so….. what to say.  Face the wall and think as hard as the wall of Wisma Sanyan or Kingwood Hotel to find out the truth.
Another good example of good tall buildings in Sibu is Kingwood Hotel which I would like to share with all generously as far as peaty soil and land of Sibu is concerned.  I seldom go to this place.  I have been to this place a few times only to attend feasts of one kind or another.  I have the impression that some of the legs of the building are built in the Rejang River.  Am I right?  Find it out for us.  This building is also really impressive to me / holds me at awe.  What the fear of peaty soil / land to good and honest and sincere constructors, I often think happily for Sibuans.
With the easy access to modern technologies and equipments, what is impossible to accomplish.  Is it so difficult to gauge and access each inch of the land in Sibu to find out how peaty it is?  Is it a responsible behaviour to be seated in such a high chair and tell all it is difficult to maintain roads and drains in Sibu when you have only blurred and blurred ideas about the general soil conditions in Sibu.  Be specific to tackle the problems once and for all or step down for his own good.  It is really not nice if he is forced to be unseated, right?
If it is really “People first!” as sloganed blasting all over Malaysia.  Prove it.  The first proof is being able to get the right amount of allocation funds to upgrade the roads and drains.  As MP for 20? Years, how much has Tiong Thai King voiced out strongly without fear for us and how much has he done for us?  Being a Christian, he should touch the Bible and declare himself.
To prevent road sinking, the first and foremost step is to build concrete drain retention wall properly.  99.9% of Sibuans are convinced of this hard fact to prevent road sinking in Sibu.  For those areas which are really soft, we know where and people, I am sure, are so very clear how our SMC should do and what suggestions to give to improve and solve the problems once and for all.
The 100% land at the Sibu bus terminal  is soft and unsteady.  But the 2-storey terraced shop-houses with the strong foundation  are standing straight and tall.  The roads on the other hand, are sinking and so uneven.  Thus many people say driving there  is just like horse-riding there.  waI………………………?
Tiong Thai King, the chairman of SMC let go of the developer so easily without the proper treatment of the roads.  The roads there, knowing that the land is soft and unsteady and I wonder why the roads are not reinforced properly to allow the permit.  Why is Tiong Thai King so good and kind to the developer?  Is it as what people say that corruption and collusion make things so easy for the developers to make do for what they have not done well.
Since this place is really so soft and peaty, reinforcement platforms should be demanded by SMC to guard for the interests of the public in general.  But our SMC chairman, Tiong Thai King who has been seated there for too long to think well and right for us.   The road conditions in this place no doubt is a good proof of the quality of the SMC led by Tiong Thai King.
Now let’s me show you another place called Fortune Commercial centre at Chiew Siik Hiong (developed by Joseph housing design and co.).  Our general impression of the place here is also soft and peaty, for sure.  But Joseph Ting (of Joseph housing design and Co.) has built the roads and shop-houses on reinforcement platforms!   I think this is the first place which initiated to build shop-houses on the reinforcement platforms.  I always hold so much respect for this developer who is so responsible and wise as he did not take the place for granted and built the shop-houses that would collapse in the course of time without any forewarning like the single-storey terraced houses at Lane 3 Jalan Pow Yew, Sibu, Sarawak.  I wonder who was the developer and the ministers and high ranking officials who signed the approval and the SMC chairman giving the permits?  What a curse and shame!
