四处淹水！ 雨水江水夹攻 道路泡水行车难

（本报诗巫2日讯）雨水一直下，江潮一直涨，雨水江水两相夹攻，诗巫南兰律、邱炳农路等临江道路皆是一路黄水，店家车主高喊苦矣！

连续数日的雨天又遇到潮涨，诗巫南兰律上段靠江店面有不少都泡在黄水中。尤其过了阿曼路交通圈直往市区方向的南兰律，更是连路面都是水，交通是一路阻塞到诗巫之窗。一些南兰律支路如迪敢路、实兰干路、广东街、阿当路都有水，广东街更是找不到路口，完全分辨不出黄水下是沟还是路，行车很危险。
至于南兰律本身，则水位相当高，2条车道只剩一条能用，小车勉强能通行，四轮驱动车就没问题。早上从上班时段开始，南兰律的车子就没少过，一直到中午，车流量还是很大。

除了南兰律水位高，邱炳农路的水位也不低。根据附近德士司机表示，昨晚的水位就相当高，江水已浸了半个德士停车位。但今日上午至中午为止，水位更高，江水都漫到邱炳农路面上。由于邱炳农多座码头浮箱沉没，铁桥也只剩半截，船运业者及工人都放缓工作进度。

涨潮后，水位上升，码头铁桥还得再搭另一条木板才能通行。

就诗巫水利灌溉局资料显示，本日潮水最高是上午9时至10时，晚上10时至11时。过了上午的涨潮时段，附近商家及车主随即要留意的就是晚间潮涨时段。驾驶者务必打起十二万分精神，尤其今日云层厚黑，可能到了晚上又会飘雨，驾驶者更是半分都马虎不得。
另外，截至下午3时来自消拯单位的消息，马占部份道路的水位有1尺到1尺半，只有大型车辆和四轮驱动车才能驶过。实兰沟多数道路水位已下降，居民已可以正常活动。沐胶的话，还在持续下雨，而甘榜本邦学校一带的水位则有上升，不过学校还在照常上课，教育局已在严密监督中。其他还有南甲塔罗诊所及至少11间长屋受到本次水患影响。

 My comments:
I guess the flood water from Limbang, Miri and Bintulu has reached Sibu.  The water from upstream like Kanowit has also aggrevated the situation.  There has not been much rain in Sibu for the past few days.  So, I should say that no much have been done holistically to deal the norm of the abnormal climatic conditions.  Please don't blame the extreme climate conditions.   Ask how much the UMNO-BN government has ever done  to deal with the problems of floods.

I can never understand why the Bakun dam and Baram dam built without building enough tube wells or reservoirs all along the ways to take in excess water when we have pouring rain.  Shame of this government.  Hence I say, if you support UMNO-BN again in so called "national election" coming sooner or later.  You will be cursed with more and more, bigger and bigger floods.  If you don't believe, you can just wait and see.  99% of people will live to see these disasters.
